FYI...Fiat offer of 85K on Punto and 100K on Linea to end by 3rd Oct

Hi,

SA called me updating that current offers will end soon by 3rd.

I told him no issues as these are going on for ages now and I do no expect an end that too during festive season.

He sounded very confident and also offered NO CANCELLATION CHARGES.

This is possible as FIAT has this habit of shooting itself when sales are starting to move northwards.[frustration]

Whats your take. I am not booking anyways due to Sharads.

Just in case someone else is interested in buying. Tad surprised by his overconfident tone.

there is a offer of 1.50 Lakhs for the Ford Fiesta for all the variants. Seems to be a mouth watering offering from Ford.

If this information is sourced from the mailer, then I believe this offer is applicable to 2012 manufactured models.

the sales guy told me that its for 2013 model.. i saw this offer in the site. but its never mentioned its 2012 model.

have bought it yesterday under this scheme.
it effectively translates to about 90k discount in all. you have to pay 23k for getting this offer. negotiate hard and they will waive off max of 18-23k for you....translating into free insurance for three yeras. if you take avg insurance of 30k/year - will come to about 90k. plus you get a gram's gold coin

no breakup as such - they just waived off the 23k to be paid for getting free insurance.
i didn't exchange any old car but they nevertheless took a photocopy of my older car and will do some internal adjustment.
i was able to extract only till here, but i believe its a reasonably good deal.

It's reasonable considering a "something is better than nothing" scenario. But what is that Rs.123000 benefit and three year Insurance @ Rs 1 ?
Even if one opts for the insurance outside the dealership, you may very well be able to get quote as cheap as say 20-22 k on an average for 3 years.

BTW, congrats on your storme. Which variant & colour? Please start a new thread and post loads of pictures with your initial impression of the beast.[clap]

Even I availed this offer, and effectively it was 3 years insurance free for me as I didn't want to exchange my existing car. If someone is willing to exchange his/her car then he/she can expect 30k exchange bonus in addition to the insurance deal. But this imho is of no use as they terribly under-value your existing car.

The breakup is :
3 year insurance for 22k
Corp disc + cash disc + 1 gm gold coin (total in the range of 8k - 22k, depending upon ur negotiation skills [:)] )
Exchange bonus if applicable

In all probability, they will use this RC copy of yours to get the exchange bonus from TATA motors. The way exchange bonuses work as explained by an acquaintance of mine who deals in pre-owned cars is that half of the bonus is offered by the company and the other half comes from the car's price (undervaluation you see). So, this old RC copy will get them additional 15k and this in my opinion is the internal adjustment you've been told about.
