Just a question from my curious mind,
What if the remaining stock is not sold even after these discounts. What will they do to the cars???

What I understand was once a car is invoiced then it belongs to the Dealer and cannot send back to the Manufacturer. Manufacturer get the price of the car from the dealer the moment the car was invoiced in the name of the dealer.
If any car is unsold, then the dealer will try kind of tricks, including giving hefty discount etcs and try to sell the car, especially in the festival seasons. Alternatively, they may try with smaller dealers (in smaller places) and offer them more profit and try to push the car.
Nothing happens for a long time, then Dealer may find it sold to their staff members at a discounted /special rate or auction it at a cheaper rate !

Volkswagen sold just 63 units of Tiguan last month compared to 110 units in the same month last year as the sales dropped by 43 per cent Year-On-Year.
