Marun:

This is the best approach. Install HID's in Low and normal stock in High. Else, you will have to spend extra cash on new pair of HIDs and ballast.
You can use 4300k HID's in low and stock bulbs in high. Almost same color. But there will be some difference. That's not a problem since we dont use high always.

This is the common setup in most of the cars like Altis, Laura etc.

I use Full CCFL single Projector headlights. Just have one HID bulb (both low and high). You can see the pics and videos if you check this thread.

Hi Naveen,

Thanks for your inputs dude. [:D]
I'll have a check with 4300K HIDs. How much does these HIDs cost. I may have to buy projector and angel eye separately right?

Yeah will read this whole thread. [:D]

10000k HIDs???[surprise]
Wont that be blue in color? Why did you go for those?
Fog lamps will need different projector setup. You cant use normal projectors. Although its possible to fit these, I wouldnt recommend these. They wont be secure and waterproof. You will start facing problems in the future. You dont basically need projectors for fogs. Normal HID's will do. Check the configuration of the OEM fog bulbs.

yea they give a blueish light and i went for these cause i didn't need that whitish light of 6000k or 8000k as they are very common here and like my car to stand out from other that's why i went for these! but as you said that normal hids will do for the fog lamps i have normal hids only for fog lamps but my mechanic told me to get h8 type of bulb for it as only the h8 type of blub will fit in my fog lamps!! it is correct? as i dont trust him but id like to confirm it from you! will these h8 type of bulb 10000k hid kit normal fit in my fog lamps? [confused]

I bought it from US both the hid kits and the manual says its 100% water proof you submerge the car in water and then also it'll function...! and sorry i have not fitted the lights yet...! will get it fitted and den will click pics!

Have a look naveen mine are 10000k...

The problem is that it will attract the cops. So be careful.
I think swift fogs are H8 type, but get it confirmed from Maruti dealer. I remember it as H8 cos I had planned to change my OEM fogs to HIDs and went searching many shops.

If OEM fogs are H8 then no problem, you can go for it.

As far as I know, fitting anything beyond what is stated in R.C as part of OEM equipment sis not legally valid in India. This applies to the components like bulbs too. So please check the legal side of these high end model lights. Probably, jalex can throw some details on the legal aspects here.

ok Naven ill confirm it with the Maruti guys and here in Gujarat even cops have HIDs fitted in their bikes and cars! as well as there are no rules here as such for lights or anything. well Shynish M everythings valid in india only the thing is you must know the art of successfully getting away with it. for example if you see the cops at a distance dim your lights or just pass them by like you didn't notice them as here if you intentionally or unintentionally notice dem they harass you without any reason!

Well Karan , this is why India is still in this stage! Sorry buddy no offence meant. Just because everybody is doing it, a wrong thing cannot become right by any means.

I would still advice you to stick to the rules and norms and follow it.

Sorry for going OT!
