Honda Civic 2.0:

City: varies a lot on traffic but worst it gave was 5-6 and best in city 8-9!
Highway: 14-15 depends on speeds but at constant 190 km/h it gave 13.5-14!

it just went up to a record 9.5 kmpl only in city! also in heavy bumper to bumper traffic.

Updating on my friend Saravana's behalf. On his recent trip to Thanjavur he got 20kmpl in his i20 Asta(Petrol).


@ Archit That's great! I have seen Civic owners telling they get only 6-7kmpl in heavy city traffic!

Just came across this thread. Nice one RSM!

The first time I ever checked it was 12.3 in city and on the highway it was 14.8 (both tank full to tank full method). I have done a tank full today and will keep this thread updated.

another update, tried to check again the FE figures of my indica and this time it was purely city driven conditions and got the figures of 17.04kmpl.

Updating on my friend Saravana's behalf. On his recent trip to Thanjavur he got 20kmpl in his i20 Asta(Petrol).

Wow! An i20 with 20kmpl is amazing . Steady and constant speeds do wonders to FE.

MSN1, thats a good mileage you are getting considering the fact that the car is new and yet to get its first servicing done.

@ Avindu Yeah he drove constantly at 90-100KMPH most of the times and 100%AC throughout the whole trip!

@ MSN1 Thats' a great figure , as Akash said after a few thousand KMS it will still increase further!

My i10 auto's mileage has dropped to 12 with 80% AC in city. Maybe due to service around the corner. Cannot guess any other reason.

except corolla and tat safari all of our car are CNG so never looked the mileage .
Tata Safari
11-12 in city on 80% AC . Worst 9-10 on heavy traffic .
15+ on highway with 100% AC

Toyota Corolla H2
11-12 in city with 100% AC(actually we never touch AC button unless its winter)
15+ in highway with 100% on AC

maximum in city

minimum on highway

maximum on highway
26kmpl

average returns: 16-19kmpl happy with it!!

Grrrr people happy with your diesel heart!!
my lancer on a efficiency drive gives 16kmpl.
no ac. speed below 60 at 1200 rpm 5th gear.

normal driving , it gives 13kmpl

in city i don't get to use 5th gear(very rare) of safari then also it give 11-12
