Mercedes-Benz has officially commenced the local production of the much anticipated all-new Long Wheelbase (LWB) E-Class in India at the facility in Chakan, Pune.
  • Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB (Sixth-Gen) is scheduled make its India debut on October 9, 2024.
  • The new bodyshop automated line for rear floor is setting the highest standards of quality, precision, and efficiency with cutting-edge robotics, intelligent automation and state-of-the-art joining technologies.
  • The center airbag introduced in the new E-Class can protect the driver and front passenger from colliding, in the event of a side collision. It is installed in the seat cushion on the driver's seat.
  • The car is equipped with MBUX super-screen with latest technology having two stage blocking system for the passenger screen while allowing the driver an uninterrupted driving experience.
  • Local production of the E-Class LWB is supported by robust supply chain that focuses on ‘Make in India’ processes and spans multiple continents, seamlessly connecting diverse regions of the world to India.
