Bro,Its l because I live in one big mad joint family and we frequent the Darjeeling hills or Puri or Varanasi together hence. Now I have a daughter / nanny hence its getting cramped now. Moreover my inlaws are also another big joint family and even madder!!! Ha ha ha. We all travel together sometimes. Twice a year minimum.

I'm getting the ZDi alloy for Rs 950000 on road after a hard bargain. I hope the price is good. But am sceptical since September is the month when they launched the Feliz last year IMO,correct me if I'm wrong. And moreover don't wanna feel miserable seeing a new Ertiga just after I buy Mine !!!
Friend.. I paid 10.25 for my ZDI almost 2 years back. Though price has reduced after that, and Maruti is giving more discount these days, 9.5L is too good a price for ZDI with alloys.

Hi
I have done 45000 km in my dusky brown ertiga zdi. I wud say it's an awesome vehicle at this price. The only problem encountered during this time was the massive turbo lag at the lower rpm which I could overcome by clever gear shifting while driving on the plains but on hills there is no escaping it. It's not a vehicle meant for the hills is my experience. And car of this size meant for intercity distances maruti should have at least provided an arm rest. Retrofitted ones are too noisy.
After driving for 45000 km in 1yr 11 mo I am getting a total mileage of 17 most of the driving being on ac

I own Ertiga VDI and would like to add the tweeters to improve the sound quality. Is it good to go for MGA tweeters or outside items such as polk audio etc sound better ?

Also i would like to know how much it will cost for this. I saw few threads on this, but no further updates.

I too agree that it is not very suitable for hills but in correct gear and acceleration. It will not be very torque friendly not will not disappoint either. It does the job for what it has been produced. Since it was my first personal car and began driving on this so I designed my driving pattern accordingly. The good thing is that response on highway and comfort for all occupants

Hi everyone, I'm writing from Colombia, South-America, because the Suzuki Ertiga was launched here last month and we don't have enough information about this car. It´s not common in our market to have a car assembled in India, but Suzuki is well known for cars like swift (1990), alto or vitara when GM sold these cars with chevrolet logo with a Colombian Assembly. Suzuki has returned to our market three years ago in mayor cities. The available Ertiga here is only with 1.4 petrol option. In fact Ertiga doesn't have any serious competition here, because every available 7 seat car is at least 2000cc motor and far more expensive, like Kia Carens or Chevrolet Orlando.
My first question, if anyone could help me, is about the power, we have to drive on hills from city to city because of the Andes Mountains, and we are afraid that this power would'n be enough to climb with 7 people, at a height of about 3000 m. What is the maximum speed when climbing?.
Thanks a lot.

Welcome to TAI bro!
Since only the petrol version is going to be launched there, there is no need to worry about power. The Petrol car is more sprightly than the diesel car sold here (I own a diesel one). Of course, it may not match the power of bigger 2000cc engines. You need to work the gearbox a bit for such hill climbing. That's all, no problem.[:)]

Petrol engine is pretty decent for the car of this size. I am not sure about Andes, but there are enough people who drive the car in western ghats and its drivable.

when you say 7 people - does it include kids ? I feel Ertiga can easily pull 5 adults + 2 kids.

@parareserva / Jose:

I would differ a little than DJ Bro & webinav in my opinion.

In order to drive through mountains with steep slopes, you would need a high torque engine (diesel engines) or powerful petrol engine. You are not getting either of it in Columbia as mentioned by you, so beware! before taking any decision!

Ertiga will pull on those hilly area with 5 people on board comfortably. But it will not pull 7 people effortlessly, and you will have to manage it through continuous gear change and revving the engine too much at points.

BTW, I can vouch on the comfort that Ertiga provides, it would be as good as the other vehicles you mentioned for sure.

I am planning to upgrade my car (currently I own a Zen Estilo). I am actively considering Maruti Ertiga. However, I got a feedback from couple of Ertiga owners that Ertiga top end models have some issues in high speed braking (>100 kmph), like stability, takes some distance before halt, even with ABS. Has anyone faced this problem with top end Ertiga?

Nope no issues with braking. The stopping distance is a little more due to the horrid stock tires. But still manages to get the job done.

Don't worry! ABS in ZXI , VDI & ZDI is well calibrated along with EBD. Are you looking for a petrol or diesel model?
One advice, stay away from Mobilio in any case [:D]

While I have not taken a firm decision on petrol or diesel, I am considering top end model, ZXI or ZDI. However, with the amount of kilometers I drive, petrol may be economical. As for example in my current car, I have just completed 18,000 KM in 5.5 years. Again we could not travel much earlier as our kids were small. With our younger one is nearly two years now, we can plan some long drives going forward, which is one of the main reasons why I am planning to upgrade. Otherwise my current car Zen Estilo is not bad for city driving conditions, specially in Bangalore [:D]
