Maruti Suzuki is readying a makeover for the Dzire, its popular compact sedan. The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be based on the New Maruti Suzuki Swift with several significant updates. (Source: Link)

- New Maruti Suzuki Dzire will have a somewhat different design compared to the upcoming Swift with of course, a totally new rear-end.
- The compact sedan will also feature revised interiors with major feature updates including a sunroof and also likely a 360-degree camera.
- New Maruti Dzire is going to share the powertrain with its sibling, which is a 1.2L, three-cylinder Z-Series engine (opposed to the current K-Series, four-cylinder setup).
- The car is expected to retain the manual as well as automated-manual transmission options. The launch is expected to occur in festive season later this year.
