Re: Maruti Suzuki Alto LX: Now Spiced Up (Pg.12,13)

Thanks to excellent roads of Jharkhand, my front shockers went kaput last month. Also the car was plagued with rattling. Since, the A.S.S where i was previously serviced my car never gave satisfactory results, switched to new center (Premson Motors). During the check-up, the service guy found the steering wheel strut damaged. The final estimate was around 8k.

3 days later, the car was delivered absolutely free from faults. The front shockers were changed, wheel strut replaced, and rattles fixed. The total bill was around 5000bucks, pretty cheap[clap].

After a month, the car is still running strong with absolutely no rattles. Attaching a few pics of my car which were clicked last saturday.

Yes buddy, the roads are really pathetic. My cars have never been on such roads ever. I think, even calling these stretches as roads would be injustice.

No the suspension was replaced. Actually, it had some leakage as a result of which there was no other option other than replacement.

Thanks Carfreak, as long the car is with me, the minor mods will continue. I try my best to resist, but i am unable to control the temptation;)

Godrej has recently released this range of car perfumes. Please share some quick info in the relevant thread (http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/accessories-spare-parts/1623-best-car-perfume-10.html). Do they have bottle type too?

I came across this perfume yesterday only. Will share more about it in the relevant thread.
BTW i am loving the push button type diffuser. The one i purchased is same as Ambipur, just that the refill gets hidden in the diffuser.

Thanks Buddy, more on Godrej Aer in this thread: (http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/accessories-spare-parts/1623-best-car-perfume-10.html).

The introductory price for the Refill+Diffuser is 215 bucks. Quality is top notch and the product looks much better than other aftermarket ones. The only thing which needs to be seen is the effectiveness of the perfume in long run.

If I remember correctly you were selling your alloy on fb ? Any reason
Yes Master, i am willing to sell my alloys as i find them a bit boring now-a-days.

There are lot on eBay
Yeah, i saw a few on ebay, but i am not able to judge which is the genuine one. I recently went ahead with purchase of chrome strip for grill, however, the product i received was bluish in color. Thats why i put this query.

BTW my baby Suzuki is doing great apart from a few squeaks here and there. She has clocked 32k kms. I will be posting a comprehensive report of my experience with this little car. Heres a pic of my car near my project site.

Since i was not very sure of online purchase of carbon fiber for the pillar taping, i have put matte black vinyl on those pillars. Will be posting the pics of it soon.

Also my car was full of dirt because of the trip last week, hence gave the interiors a complete wash by myself. Cleaned up the fabric mats with Soap solution (With a few drops of Savlon for disinfection), rubber mats were given shampoo treatment, though my hair didn't get it[lol]. So the interiors are back to best.

Now, the problem. I guess the connection of AC drain pipe got disturbed, and water is dripping near the cup holder which is dampening the carpet. I havent seen the pipe myself, but this happened a few months back, the solution being, getting underneath the dashboard and fixing back the pipe.
