Vento to Ciaz :) you will be disappointed if you are looking for power i would suggest look else where.

Thanks for the input sir.Thinking for Honda City too as our budget is ₹16L and planning to replace our Vento after 90K Kms but VW Diesel scandal is hurting us a lot.I think this would be our last VAG car because of heavy maintenance.This time it would be XUV or Creta as a replacement for Vento.Using Vento since almost 3 years and did 70000 Kms in it.Bought this as used in Feb 2013 when it had run 13000 Kms.Till now we had to replace clutch at 45K Kms in Jun 2014,underbelly got damaged in March 2015 and recently front got damaged in Aug 2015.Had to spend much for its repairs and got ₹1.3L bill when she met with an accident in Aug 2015.We had planned to sell it off but we got ₹5.5L quote from VW dealer.So,we straightaway rejected the offer.Now,present odo is over 82000 Kms.Had warned my father to sell the Vento due to expensive maintenance.But,he is not willing to sell it due to its power.So,he is considering Ciaz as replacement due to SHVS.

Hi Naman, For a pictorial guide, please refer to this post. Also, upon idling in neutral after a few seconds a green indication comes in IC of your car which indicates the working of SHVS is in progress.

One question though: Why is Ertiga Facelift with SHVS not getting media coverage? I mean on car forums like ours (automotive india), team bhp etc? Also there is just 1-2 videos of it on youtube as well nor there are any ownership reviews for it.
Whereas Ciaz SHVS got very good media coverage. Is Ertiga SHVS not a good product?

Surely. I'll write as detailed as possible.
Buddy, the reason as I see, are non-availability of media cars for individual auto forum like ours and a couple more. Maruti's idea of inviting selected publications (those which are funded by external agencies) for media event. Delay in Test Drive Vehicles arriving to dealers. SHVS technology being same as that in CIAZ. My Uncle got his TD vehicle in November-2015.
That was the 1st Hybrid to be designed by Maruti and that too on car that had been launched just 1 year back i.e 2014. So craze was bound to be there. Now also if you see, Ertiga AMT, Dzire AMT, Wagon R AMT all are same with same engine and the only difference is the AMT box. So, many a times people simply refrain from taking the pains to review a car for only its transmission and 95% of the car otherwise remaining the same. Apart from that, Maruti's way of giving a "Facelift" is by adding chrome to front and back so that too does not appeal to many.

The 3 buttons are of 'Auto Stop-Start deactivation', Fog Lamp & Reversing Sensor. In the instrument cluster, Dual dial setup is there with a MID unit in center alongwith Fuel & Temprature guage on the corners. The MID shows, Time, Temperature, Total Kms run, Gear Indicator etc.
