At present the car appears in not so good condition. But the history behind this car is still evergreen and interesting as ever.

Guess MISL has officially said that they will buy back the car.
May be they would restore the car and showcase it at their Corporate office or at the factory !

The car is on its way to pollachi for a complete restoration. motive is to make it fit and fab like in the past - to make it a everyday commute + with good quality seat belts :)

Hi guys I have one ss80 1985 model but am not satisfied with my fuel tank because it has lot of rust inside and it's make me very bad driving experience because my car is getting off while driving so am planing to fix a new Tata nano car fuel tank on my ss80..can please give me some suggestion about this and where should I fix my new tank like previous possition or somewhere els??

Finally a rust free. Time to paint and pay that hefty bill. Could have had a brand new car for the cost. :) yeah. but this one is rescued and its gonna last for another 10 years or so

Hey guys. .. my ss80 badly need a petrol tank. It is corrosioned inside and the iron particles coming inside carburetor and lacking throttle response.
Please help me out to find a solution for this or a decent petrol tank. Any other vehicles tank can be replaced. I tried type 1 tank but need to cut body (underneath the rear seat)
If any fellow members having any spare please please pm me.
I am from kerala.
Had one spare tank but unfortunately my mechanic throughout while cleaning is shop for aayudha pooja

Nice & Neat restoration, you do need to change the tyres, also what are the white strips on the front bumper?

How much was the damage?

those strips are DRL day time run lights - for added saftety.
cost around 1.5

clean heart !!! is mandatory!!!. This completes the breaks, steering, engine and aircon refresh !!! this can be driven in full confidence!
