Hi Jagjitji,

I had seen the youtube video a few mnths ago wand was impressed with the mods done to the car. Great effort.

Abt converting to electric, I had seen an ad on ebay.in abt a small company in India who makes ARAI certified kits for electric conversion. Costs abt 3 lac and they also have option of lithium ion battery with industrial chargers for 15 mins charging. Very expensive though.

Optionally you can source motors locally and design motor controllers from the info available on the internet. A few suggestions abt the car design:
1. Since the overall theme of the car is curvy design, I feel that the headlamps from the Corsa/Sail wud have looked better considering the car is not too wide.
2. I remember reading somewhere that if the yearly production of a car is less than 100 units, there are lesser rules to be followed. You can file an RTI query with them and knw abt it all.

Then you can officially source engines from somewhere and sell a proper sports car from India.....India Shining.

Wow I just joined this forum looking to purchase my first car(offcourse a maruti 800) and seems like I just dig gold. A maruti 800 underneath(low cost spares and maintenance) and a supercar on the outside. This cant get any better than this.

But the real question is how much does it cost to own this dream maruti 800???

Wow Jagjit, its really unbelievable the way an icon in itself for so many years have been transformed to nothing less than an exceptional beauty. Kudos to your efforts. Just my 2 cents on the mods, the front seems to be a bit bland with no logo/grill which looks a bit empty. I certainly hope you would like to badge this baby with your design logo. Also a small grill would add some aesthetics. Also, the boot chrome part, can it be in matte black which matches with the overall color tone of the car. BTW, where is the passenger seat area gone. Has it been used for the convertible structure. Keep up the good work.
