I am wondering if it is possible to have state wise numbers,I do not find many Boleros where I come from and curious to find where does it sell to be in top 10.
A big chunk of M&M Bolero is sent to UP for use in Police, Political Purposes. I am sure even Bihar would not be far behind. Then for same Govt/Police purpose one can see decent number of Bolero in Delhi too.

You are right. I am also seeing so many Omni ambulance. Sometimes I wonder, how come hospital authorities permit to use the unsafest car as ambulances which are supposed to carry patients in safe and comfort condition.
Well the omni and eeco ambulances are mostly owned by private operators or small nursing homes. Larger hospitals mostly use tata wingers or Force travellers. I have ridden on Omni as well as Eeco ambulances and thats a harrowing experience for the passengers let alone for the patient.
Now a days the trend in politics is (atleast in West Bengal) is if you are any sort of bigshot ( even local councillor will do) you will have an ambulance to advertise your name (make other people feel your presence) as "donated by such and such from this fund or that fund". Idiots dont understand that "donation" means giving something out of your own pocket and not divert government funds [roll]. And on top of that they are doing good business hiring these ambulances.

I do not find many Boleros where I come from and curious to find where does it sell to be in top 10.
In Sikkim you will find most of the tourist vehicles travelling in the high altitudes where road conditions are pretty bad , to be boleros. Earlier it used to be Sumos but now most of the vehicles travelling to Nathu La , West and upper sikkim are Boleros. In Arunachal Pradesh on the other hand there are a lot of Sumos plying to areas like Tawang and Sela Pass. Lot of vehicles operating in the higher altitudes in Uttarakhand are also Boleros.

Recently visited Shillong and have to say that Meghalaya is Maruti-800 land.90% of the vehicles there are M-800 and now alto-800. Infact I have never seen so many M800s at one place. And I found that the people there take good care of their vehicles. A lot of them sporting alloys , spoilers , customised orvms and bodypaint. I mean if opne wishes to see M-800 in full glory they should definitely visit Meghalaya.

Honda Cars India reports 14% growth in April 2015
Honda Cars India today reported 14 per cent jump in its domestic sales at 12,636 units in April. The company had sold 11,040 units in April last year, Honda Cars India (HCIL) said in a statement.Last month, the company sold 827 units of small car Brio, 2,862 units of compact sedan Amaze, 689 units of Mobilio and 8,203 units of the mid-sized sedan City.Besides, the company sold 55 units of sports utility vehicle CRV.In addition, the company exported a total of 853 units during the month.
Apart from City, other cars reportedly sold in lesser numbers MoM. Could it be because of low Demand ? If we look back at the Sales report of April 2014, there too the numbers were similar.

Mobilio 689??? Same pattern of Jazz over pricing failure repeating for Mobilio or Lodgy effect? What is next for Mobilio in India. They are almost killing it with insane price for Mobilio.

Friends, Am I seeing a slightly different picture here??? Honda dispatched over 22500 units last month. That was well over their capacity - probably clearing their stock. It is highly probably that it is more than the real demand. That means, there is a good probability of a lot of Mobilios and Amazes lying with the dealers ready to be sold.

This month the sales is just above 13000 units (including exports), which is way below their monthly capacity of 20k units. I dont really think Honda will let its production line under-utilized, especially when there is still some waiting for City.

So, what happened to the ~7k cars which are not listed here?? Do I hear some music?? probably a bit of JAZZ?? Purely my assumption. Also, I dont mean to say Honda has produced 7k Jazzs. But they could very well be modifying their assembly line to suit Indian Jazz and maybe started production for the initial batch. I would be more confident with this assumption if the trend continues next month also (i.e. dispatches much lesser than production capacity)

Car sales reach a all time high. Passenger vehicle sales grew 19 per cent in April over the same month in 2014. This follows a subdued 2014-15, when sales grew only 6.8 per cent.

Leading the pack is Maruti Suzuki an increase of 27 per cent year-on-year -Its new launches — the Ciaz, Celerio and Alto — were crowd pullers, with two of these models available in automatic gear shift, a new technology that is catching up with consumers.

Utility vehicle leader Mahindra & Mahindra, which saw sales fall eight per cent last year, posted a one per cent growth in April.

Here are the April sales, before the official thread is up!
Zest is at its lowest at 1989 and Bolt at 633. Seems to be tending towards being a dud in its respective segments! Will they be now open to sale to taxi- operators? Only time will tell!

Really sad to see the Zest and Bolt numbers. Zest is fantastic product from TML. IMO the main problem in zest is the stance of the car. Zest does not look like a sedan bacause of its higher stance and balbaus size. For me it seems to be a confused design between a proper sedan and a cross.

Regarding bolt it was bound to happen. For the same money if some one is getting the fun to drive SWIFT from highly trusted automaker he/she will not look at bolt.

I think that the overall numbers for Tata Motors are lower for April'15 in general. Not model specific. Zest+Bolt numbers are down from about 3800 to 2600 units, M-o-M. Nothing to panic. I think the numbers will recover in May'15.
