even the range rover had similar rear lighting scheme as the XUV so i dont know how rear of the XUV was a disappointment.

I think its better if we don't compare a xuv or any mahindra car or even a ssangyong car with Range Rover please

Beside that the rear of the car doesn't only comprise of lights alone .

Refreshing design , Quanto should've looked like this!

I liked the overall desgin a lot but those slits looks as if its a huge scratch caused by some biker

Perhaps a slot for DRL's?!

Still that slit looks weird to my eyes even for DRL 's . It looks as if the guys desgined it perfectly , and the main desginer said common we are known for over the top desgin guys give a slit atleast

@ indica - it can't be chotu it has to be chotO , remember no matter what the name is it must end with a O.

I think this one should be named XUV25O a.k.a XUV dhai kilO.

I like that slit, its a nice design element. Atleast its not excessively done like in the XUV5OO. Also, it helps cut some visual mass from that huge bumper.

It is also written that it is M's well kept secret. Is it?? . During the making of XUV and mini XYLO we've seen several test mules before without body/disguised but only one scoop till now of this one and in the magazine they are showing a final product or is it a possible rendering?.

. I think this car might launch late next year or 2015.

Good for consumers that they will have a lot of options to select from Tata, m&m ,ford,Chevy, fiat ,Renault,Nissan ,Hyundai,Honda and ofcourse maruti . And the chunk of pie will be eaten mostly by Honda and Hyundai ( strictly my personal opinion and feeling nothing to support my belief here )

a little OT, but I also did a test drive on Quanto recently which is basically a piece of .... pick your choice of words! if there are any quanto fans here The ride quality comfort visibility was very very weird to put it in simple words! So frankly its not just that looks is a problem with quanto but a lot more might not be right honestly!

I think soon after this new compact SUV is launched, it is very much possible that quanto might be discontinued!

Scorp sales will be affected by this model for sure, so what is the fate of scorp ? And lets not forget VW Tiagun which will compete in same space.

M&M is coming up with an all new Scorpio by late 2014/early 2015. This is not a mere facelift, but this new Scorpio is being built grounds up. Being an SUV which will be offered with 4x4, the new Scorpio will not likely have a monocoque chassis, but will have a hydroformed LOF chassis which will be wider and longer than the present Scorpio. Expect a completely new design too.

It seems mahindra is in trial n error mode of design. Logan looked horrible then came verito, old xylo looked horrible then came new xylo, hopefully same for Quanto too...

but atleast mahindra understands its flaw in design & corrects it which needs to be appreciated!

It looks very good. Well done M&M for such innovative products and dauntless forays into new segments.

A 6-seater with good looks at such low price with definitely sell in large numbers. EcoSport and Duster have big reason to be concerned with this. A base price of just Rs. 5 lakhs is brilliant.

I hope it gets projector headlamps similar to XUV and rear lamp styling similar to Range Rover
Evoque. Simply well done.
