Mahindra XUV700 2 Lakh Units Milestone Achieved In 33 Months
Mahindra & Mahindra today announced that its flagship SUV, the Mahindra XUV700, has reached the sales milestone of 200,000 units in less than three years of its launch. To mark the occasion, the company has introduced two new colour options -- Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna (XUV700 exclusive).
While Mahindra rolled out 100,000 units of the XUV700 in 21 months, it reached 200,000 units in sales in 33 months. The Mahindra XUV700 was launched in India in August 2021.
The Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the likes of the Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus.
The SUV has a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, with the latter offered in two states of tune. The petrol engine makes 200bhp, while the diesel engine develops 155bhp or 185bhp, depending on the variant. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. An optional AWD is also available.
The Mahindra XUV700 introduced segment-first features like Alexa built-in functionality, Level-2 ADAS and dual 10.3-inch HD superscreen, among others. It also garnered a 5-star safety rating at Global NCAP with five stars in adult occupant protection and four stars in child occupant protection.
