Mahindra to step in Indian Bike Scene too!

Tractors to Utility vehicles to cars, Mahindra has probably not left any important automotive sector in India, Now soon they will be entering into bike scene too which will hit the market in March 2011. This new two wheeler is being developed with a Taiwan based company and it's production will begin in plant near Indore which has capacity of producing 5,00,000 units per year.

Does any of you guys remember seeing a sporty Mahindra Bike at Delhi Auto Expo? Who missed it, Here's an image:

wish they release some bikes which are sturdy, good looking & cover a range of engine option starting from 150cc to 250cc.

The prospect of Mahindra clashing with Bajaj and HH looks interesting!!

This is a nice move. However, Mahindra 2 Wheelers has not got a warm welcome in Kerala. What about other places? Dd we have any sales figure for them ?

No in Chennai also i hardly find any Mahindra scooters! But if they can come up with something fresh and interesting like Yamaha they can also enjoy success!!

But they are new to this segment and will be hard to pull customers until they bring up something really cool!!

Mahindra has sold its scooters in good numbers here in Maharashtra. Also i wish they bring good looking bikes especially like the one shown at expo.

Heard that Mahindra Duro's mileage is low. Around 35 only it gives. Where as its rivals like Activa and Access gives around 50. This may be the reason of low sales of Mahindra Scooters.

Mahindra has opened its showroom for bikes here in Pondicherry.

And in a signal i saw a scooter with blue dial(must be duro). didnt notice its name!

I too dont see much Mahindra scooters in Coimbatore. The reason being scooter segment dominated by big players. Its not that easy to break into it. But mahindra can stir up bike market with launches like yamaha did recently.

I'm not a bike maniac but I guess they will target general audience first and can't say whether this sports bike will be released any soon.
