For me Thar looks like a Toy car.

I really envy it's 4X4 capabilities, And missing that feature in my hawk.

Great review Zinam.
This is a good launch but the interiors sort of blunt.
Absence of ABS etc is a problem as well.
But I believe Mahindra will keep no stone unturned in W201.

maybe the LR guy was a fool. LR has one of the best off road systems. Thar is good. But maybe the LR was letdown by its driver.

After zinam's review, I have today booked a TD of thar crde. Let's see, if I like it then I may drop my diesel hatch plan and will go for thar. But will it be sensible to go for this?

Sudden twist in the story. Eh? Mahindra Thar is a typical jeep and more or less an enthusiast’s car rather than a daily ride, meaning that it may not be able to full fill the requirements as of a hatchback. But if you are keen on getting such a vehicle, I would also suggest considering the Gypsy. Nevertheless, do share your initial impressions after test drive of Thar.

@Amiti if really you like this and in love with The car why not buy one? But be sure you cant keep your valuables like mobiles,documents and important stuffs inside as it is only being offered in Soft Top Variant and no A/C even as an option.

But this beast is really a head turner for city folks especially the Maroon,Rocky Biege and black color
