tata have launched the super ace with dicor engine..bs4,but left the venture with the old bs3.mysterious.
hope the new magic mantra is a step in the right direction.
the supro name sounds like a marketing trick.however mahindra do seem to be able to judge the market better than TML.
Yes TATA neglecting such good product like TATA Venture its very practical product but lack proper engine it didnt did well in market common TATA dont waste time try to revamp the tata venture van with BS4 engines if possible make engine options in order bases

TATA should Launch venture with three different engine options

TATA Venture Revotron 1.2T

TATA Venture 1.4L Dicor

and as order based option TATA Venture 1.3L Quadrajet90
The reason why Tata isn't able to put MJD or dicor into Venture is due to space limitations in the vehicle.Whereas M&M did a good job of extending the facia of the MAxximo and plonk in a turbocharged engine with Aircon which has done a good a job in the supro. Also they can't put the ace's dicor engine in the venture because it is simply over 2 tons and the 1.4 pot itself is struggling to pull the vehicle.

Infact any tourer that is positioned should at minimum have
- 7-8 comfy seater
- climate control
- abs
- decently traction tyres
- 4 wheel drive (because if really used as tourer, its safe to assume you will not find traction roads everywhere)
- good power/torque (to pull one through when stuck)
To have these, one should also have sufficient money with all these features which is not possible in Indian market where Value For Money plays a major role.

I dont agree that space limitation is a major problem in TATA venture to plonk dicor or MJD engine[surprise] remember that current TATA Venture is powered by TATA 475TCIC engine thats bigger in size then MJD engine and note that TATA Already TATA Super ACE mint with TATA 475Dicor engine

perhaps the real reason for not putting the dicor in the venture could be cost? perhaps the target customer will not be willing to pay even 20k more?
With the current bs3 they cannot sell in major metros..perhaps tml is not looking at large family in cities...if only it was made more desirable it could be the next vw campervan
