Re: Mahindra Scorpio VLX Mist Silver - 55,555 Kms and Counting
Last Saturday, had some spare time after a visit to Goa previous week via Jog.
And it was scheduled update of 55,000 kms after a long gap of 7 months.
Yes the running has been less, thanks to office work and Bangalore traffic.
Using 2 wheeler a lot, these days.
So when its long drive hawk comes to rescue.
55,000 kms Service Update:
56,191 kms on ODO.
The service was scheduled with Chrome Motors- Mysore Road, with SA Kiran.
The hawk was all muddy, that the SA first sent the vehicle to complete wash, then started working on the car.
1.Hawks gear oil was changed, and now gear shifts smoothly(Issue esp in cold start)
2.Also rust near wheel arches was painted.
It was just a line of rust, took a preventive measure and got the touch up done on both wheel arches.
They moved the car to paint booth and carried out the work dust free.
The rear drums had black slush kind of deposits of Asbestos.
Which was taken care off.
AC gas is still there but needs topup during the next visit, they didn't feel it was needed as of now.
Though some indication like hissing noise when turning on the knob was diagonised.
Really impressed with their work.

Yes the rates of labour have gone up to 500/- from earlier 2600/-
Latest Rate Charges
Bill came around
6100/- bushes were said to be fine.
All the coil springs were lubricated and, suspension bolts re-torqued while spraying rust off.
The bushes can go for another 10,000 kms as per SA.
Next service tips, AC gas top-up, Rear Suspension bushes, along with engine belt.
Tyres can do another 25,000 kms as per SA.
Happy to hear that you completed another long trip
Those roads are state highways in KA?
Hi Appu, just noticed your post. Sorry for delayed reply.
This route is a SH which is called as escape route, while coming from Canara Engineering College(Near Mangalore) to B.C.Road.

Good going Mukesh,
Seems your running has slowed down a bit.
Yeah ilango as said, now long trips can be planned after retaining Comp-off's and monthly leaves.
So the running has come down.
