re: Mahindra Scorpio VLX Mist Silver - 49,000 Kms and Counting
Avindu they changed all the things , flywheel though mechanically was good, they changed it under Goodwill Warranty and I was not billed.
If I had left the car in dealership, bill would have same as you.
As M&M knew my issue and the service habits of my Hawk, Regional CCM ensured that it was covered under good will.
Now I have new transmission system on my hawk.
They were ready to give me a loaner car a Verito ad backup, as there was no pilot switch that holds these clutch components, I had to pressurize them I needed the vehicle same day, which Regional CCM made the part available around 6pm.
For this part to arrive they needed 2 days.
Moreover if your vehicle is in dealership and occupies a ramp, they lose some money as at the same time other vehicle could have been serviced, and that cost lands on you.
I was standing on shop floor monitoring my car all the time.
All those things made me push them to deliver it that day.
Gear and clutch was not at all hard , but I used to face sticky power situation, where engine raises, pickup dropped for a moment and surges ahead.
Which was probably a sign of clutch wearing.
One thing avinash if there is issue with clutch all the related parts should be changed in tandem, and not individually.
As I specifically mentioned them the state of flywheel, they changed that also.
And no charges for clutch overhaul.
So I took a preventive measure, so that on my long trip with family should be safe.
Hi Mukesh, good to know all is well with the hawk. Thanks for sharing the detailed pics of the clutch assembly. I'm wondering why there is a price difference, for the clutch plate (Well, the price differs on almost all). Shouldn't the spares cost the same across all the service centers?
Also, apart from the issue you faced in 4th gear, was there any other symptoms? (Engine revving without increase in speed, hard gear shift etc). Did they replace the Flywheel as well?
