Thank you ... My father chose the Java Brown color... Initially i did not like it much, but now i fee lit looks great... much different from the usual black or white or silver shades.
Swift is good... but i would agree that Quanto is better in terms of handling bad roads and pot holes.. Much rugged compared to Swift or any sedan or hatchback cars
+100

The brown looks really smart on the quanto .

And swift though in the same price bracket is different segment . And you are right quanto will handle abuse more then a swift but then it will lose on handling . Overall quanto is a good option who want a spacious , rugged ,abuse friendly and Suvish looking car .

absolutely Raja, thats what mahindra's are known for.
Congratulations on your new ride in this Jawa Brown Shade, looks superb.Wish you many happy miles with your ride and do keep posted about your ownership along with some pictures now.
I agree with the fact that second row is too much of upright rather then what they could have given it more inclined for better comfort.

Vijay,
As per my knowledge
If second row seats are inclined, may be remaining space is not sufficient for 3rd row jump seats. That’s why they are kept it in upright position.

Congrats on your new Quanto, the color looks very attractive. yet another product whose ownership reviews are hard to come by, look's like TAI's members are walking in the niche path.

Congratulations awasare, on your new Quanto. The brown looks stunning! How many cars in this segment can carry off brown so well?

My brother in law was about buy Quanto 3 months ago, but had to postpone for personal reasons. He will start looking for a new car soon, and Quanto is one of the strong contender (Duster being the other). So look forward to your experience and review. Please keep them coming!

Mahindras while they make rugged vehicles in my opinion do not have the capability to design a car like it should be designed they seem to throw things together and produce something one would imagine was the output from a bunch of amateurs. The Ertiga and innova are far superior products in every aspect. When I open the bonnet of a Mahindra I imagine they seem to throw things in there to complete the job there never appears to be a complete thought process and I believe were it not for a very competitive price very few people would buy them.

What makes you think the Innova is superior to the XUV5OO except the Toyota brand name? The Ertiga is a fine car, alright but at that price, it is not exactly value for money.

When you say "every aspect", please mention a few.

A badly designed engine bay? Pics speak for itself -

That's the whole point. Anyone can make an excellent product... making it competitive is the crux of the matter. If we remove the price factor, even the Premier Rio is a great car.

I like innocent bloggers (on a lighter note [;)]) - Toyota and superior product in every aspect?

Toyota has probably recalled maximum cars in the last 5 years, than any other manufacturer in the world. More than 20 million recalls! phew... Even if you go by the ratio of manufactured cars Vs. recall, it is a pity.

Toyota to hold world's biggest car recall in 16 years - Business on NBCNews.com

As recent as yesterday, Toyota is recalling 3.4 million cars -

I have high regards for Toyota by the way, for their focus on quality. Realistically, they may be above six-sigma but not perfect. It is sad to see them go through this phase - probably cut corners because of cost pressure.

Guys, this is not a Toyota VS Mahindra thread. Let us not hijack someone's ownership thread. Kindly stick to the topic.

Hello Friends,

My name is Amit & I would like to share my experience buying and owning Mahindra Quanto. I will try to keep my post as short
congrats buddy for tis
OWNING a QUANTO
Its been just over a month and I have driven about 3500 Kms, spent about 12K worth of diesel... the vehicle has been providing me an average of 16kmpl - avg of both city(min - 10kmpl) and highway(max - 25 to 30kmpl).
. We have completed almost 7months and almost finished16000kms But never got 20kmpl . Expect the readings tat shows in the DDAS AFE as 30.0km/l like.
6. Should have added wider tires - 215 to 220 at least. Or at least larger ones - 16"
yes i do agree But its for the vehicles mileage factor . It would have better If they have provided
7. The fuel tank inlet pipe/hose is awkwardly designed. I have filled diesel at at least 15 different fuel stations so far, but none are able to lock the hose faucet... they all complain that the inlet hose is curved and does not let their faucets enter deep inside. Due to this its never been possible for me to fill full tank, because you'd never know when the tank is full.
no dude we never faced tis problem and yes the full is only of 48ltrs not 55ltrs
8. Panel gaps are too large..

I felt Tata Sumo Grandae was better than Quanto. The road presence was good in sumo and it felt like a full suv but tail part always seems missing in quanto
