What if I do not have Air Filter?(Removing it)
Does my Mileage affect?
Will I Gain Power?
I know that the sound will be tremendous.
How to remove the air filter?

If you do not have air filter then it will destroy your engine. From where do you manage to get these golden ideas may I ask?

To remove air filter, unscrew the left hand side engine cover; you will see an almost square black coloured plastic box in the middle. Unscrew its cover and you fill find the air filter held inside by means of a single screw. Remove that screw and pull the air filter out.

And dont forget to put it back

I have soaked the Air filter in water and making it dry!
are there any probs?

Ideally, you should have washed it in Kerosene and let it dry but now that you have used water, make sure that the air filter is ABSOLUTELY DRY before you refit it. Also, apply a microscopic film of engine oil on the air filter before screwing it back on the ait intake (the oil helps in arresting dust particles).

Yes, sure. But if you do that you will also have a cylinder with its piston hanging outside soon.

I mean that not installing the air filter cover would screw your engine.

Dont try to think of any more golden ideas. Its an old, used engine. Try to keep it as it was intended to be kept.

Not any Golden Ideas But I am asking like Re-jetting, Replacing the cylinder kit with the USHA make Cylinder kit, Lubricating, etc Because, The KiHo was not maintained properly for 7-8 Years.

1. Do not re jet. Keep the original carburettor specificatios.

2. Please post the details of the USHA kit.

3. For lubricating use any good quality 2T oil in the oil tank.

Make sure the oil pump is working, else premix the petrol. If possible avoid mixing the 2T oil from petrol pump.

Kinetic Honda ZX Mods and Maintenance Tips Please!

I have no idea how to maintain my Kinetic Honda.
It has run somewhere 1 and half or 2 lakhs above, dont know exact kms count as meter was not working!
Not rebored yet! Still it
No parts changed!!! FULLY STOCK!
As it being FULLY STOCK, I have saved about 1100 Rs to mod it. In very tight budget! Give me Suggestions for more power and decent mileage
If I give my Kinetic to mechanic, he just waterwash, clean the air filter and give it to me. He has shifted! If i get him, I will
It doesn't have battery and running it until its life ends!
I want decent mileage like 36-38 kmpl.

So give me some Maintenance Suggestions and Mod Suggestions!

For Rs. 1100, get a new spark plug and air filter (if you can find one), clean the carburettor and get the engine and silencer decarbonized. Thats all; and spend the remaining on good quality 2T oil ( dont use the lose 2T oil available at petrol bunks).

Air filter is new! Kinetic ones!
Replaced Yesterday Only! Mileage has increased by 3-4 kms, Now Giving about 24-25 kmpl!!! I think there is some magic in the new air filter!
Do you want me to use some other air filter?
Can you give me the Quote for Spark Plug and engine decarbonization?
What about SPARKO - Petrol Saver? It is said to increase Power! Will that increase power and give decent mileage?
And can you give me some normal maintenance tips?

And what about the NGK Iridium Spark plug G-POWER and CONVENTIONAL?
I found one G-POWER on vicky.in for RX100, RX135, RXZ, Shogun, Shaolin, Samurai
I found Conventional also on vicky.in for RX100, RX135, RXZ, Shaolin, Shogun, Samurai.
What is the difference between G-POWER and Conventional and Will these suit for kinetic honda?

I personally prefer G-POWER NGK Spark Plug

As the Air filter has changed recently, I think the air filter need not to be bought because I think it needs to be rejetted!
