The GT is the spiciest version of the Kia EV6. With up to 641 horsepower on tap, the all-wheel-drive ute is a bullet on wheels. For 2025, the high-performance electric crossover has a restyled face as well as improvements that make it mightier and more engaging to drive. While these updates were announced last month when the 2025 Kia EV6 lineup was revealed at the LA auto show, we haven't seen any photos of the GT variant—until now.
Thanks to images posted on Kia's Korean website, we have our first look at the new EV6 GT. Like its predecessor, the hi-po model doesn't look significantly different compared with the regular versions. The only obvious change is the new 21-inch wheels that have a more intricate design. Peeking from behind the wheels are lime-green brake calipers, which are really the only hint that this EV6 isn't like the others, making it a bona fide sleeper. The last version we tested hit 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, and now that its peak output has risen from 576 to 641 horsepower, it should be even quicker.
Inside, the lime-green theme continues, albeit in a respectful manner. The eccentric color can be spotted on the HVAC vents, on the steering wheel's GT button and 12-o'clock hash mark, and on the stitching and stripes on the seats. The EV6 GT also adopts a new three-spoke steering wheel, replacing the old two-spoke helm. The paddles on the back of the wheel also allow the driver to simulate gearchanges—a new feature that Kia inherits from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Even without the paddles, the EV6 GT can mimic a traditional dual-clutch automatic, and fake exhaust sounds further elevate the experience of an EV cosplaying as a gas-powered sports car.
While we don't yet know how much the 2025 Kia EV6 GT will cost, we expect its price to be a little higher than the outgoing model, which started at $62,975. It should go on sale with the rest of the lineup sometime in the first half of next year.
