Jeep India has reintroduced the Meridian’s Limited (O) AT 4x4 variant at Rs 36.79 lakh. This variant was present when the SUV was first launched but was removed from the line-up once the minor facelift arrived late last year. Bookings for this relaunched variant have commenced at Jeep dealerships across the country.

The Meridian Limited (O) AT 4x4 costs Rs 2.3 lakh more than its 4x2 AT counterpart (Rs 34.49 lakh) and Rs 1.7 lakh less than the top-spec Overland 4x4 variant (Rs 38.49 lakh). While the higher-spec Limited (O) trim now gets the 4x4 tech – including terrain modes and hill-descent assist – and has nearly everything that the top-spec Overland has, it misses out on the Level 2 ADAS suite, leatherette upholstery and some equipment. Here’s the complete list of features available with each Meridian variant.

Mechanically, there is no change as the 4x4 versions share the 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine and 9-speed automatic gearbox. One must note that in 4x2 form, the Limited (O) gets a 6-speed manual option along with the 9-speed torque converter unit.

Jeep India has also introduced an accessory pack for the Meridian that brings some exterior and interior changes. The package adds decals on the bonnet and along the sides, a chrome surround for the headlights and customisable ambient lighting inside.

The Jeep Meridian range is currently priced between Rs 24.99 lakh (for the base 5-seat Longitude variant) and Rs 38.49 lakh for the top-spec Overland 4x4. It rivals the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson.
