Re: Japanese Masterpiece: Nissan Skyline R33 GTST Series II (Tuned)

Car wouldn't start at all this monday.

Took a day off today.

Cleaned AFM , disconnected Afm , no luck

Engine was cranking but no igniton.

I could smell the petrol but didn't know whats going on.

Changed the fuel filter to be on safer side.

Cleaned throttle body no luck

then it was spark plugs since basics says:
1 Fuel
2 Spark

Spark plug I opened and found that it was all black since it was copper one , the coating was peeling , I end up buying new ones and installed them.. second attempt car started!
Thank God!

Getting a problem with the car
Looks like the excessive boost has stuffed the engine
Smoke is coming out the exhaust it could be the rings or the turbo

Start up problem occurs that gives indication of the rings have worn out.

Trying to get a new engine ( less Kms ) with stock turbo and everything stock so that I can do the desired mods myself.

Congrats! for owning one of the most wonderful car ever built. IMO this is one car that has a perfect blend of everyday usability and also a thrill for those momentary adrenaline rushes(when stock). But now its just a mean drifting machine or for those once in a while drag races.[:)]

aww thanks bro
yes they are classified as Unique cars even in aussie where they are found quiet alot , they still have a good resale value for their age and kind of differentiates you from the crowd and turn your head around.

Its a drift / drag car for sure never lost any but however now engine has a problem so probably getting a new engine tomorrow, will update the thread with the pictures

OT but why did'nt you consider a Toyota Supra, If memory serves me right then the Nissan Skyline and Toyota supra were the most brilliant affordable fun-cars ever built in the previous decade.[:)]
P.S. Your old skyline looks more sexier than the one now because of that red shade.

yeah man thanks for that and that red skyline was much better i had to admit
that wasnt as powerful as this but that was neat

I considered Toyota Supra JZ but the thing with them is they are 3 litre engine and turbo ones are thrashed like idiots.
thats why i never bought that .

however I had a Toyota Chaser jzx100 TRD edition with similar sort of engine JZ series

completely OT: Yeah but it has to be admitted that any day a stock car is more fun than a souped one, only because you'll try harder to do the same things you do with a souped one. You must've felt it when you drove the red one before you souped it right??

yeah well okay the thing is
when you modify the car yourself then you know whats in there but when you get already modified one than you don't know what he did and how clean/neatly he did.

now the one i have now it is really powerful with over 330 horses running on rear wheels but the guy who modified it has mostly thrashed it means running high boost and doing burnouts and stuff . so engine was pretty much given a hard time.

I will always pick a stock car then a modified one

Cars now in for new engine change
I will post up pics soon

I had last day yesterday with my old engine , smoked one 370z on the road last night! It wasn't even close thanks to my skyline.

However I am now going to be a gentleman R33 rider and so forth
