Hey nice write up Zinam!! Great to know you took the adventurous route!! Yeah and as Napster has said can you tell in detail about the hotels and resorts where you stayed , it could help us deciding the budget!! We are also planning for a trip to Munnar in our Safari!! Looking forward for your info!!

The resorts & Hotels in Thekkady is somewhat costly.
The minimum which i heard there is Rs.1000 to Rs.4000 for 24 Hrs checkout!
In Munnar its too costly :)
Starts from Rs1800/ Day to Rs.7000/Day
And reagrsing the toll gates, When i went last year there were only 3 tolls.
Which costed around 20 + 30 + 30 = Rs.80.
But They were constructing around two more tolls on Chennai Trichy Highway. The One costs Rs.50 & another one is Rs.30.
If you go by this time. you should be spending around Rs.150 one way for toll :)
