The seat covers looks great. Are they removable or the vendor kind of stitched / hoggered (technical term for staple in seating system) with the old fitment.

I also just got the delivery of my Cappuccino Beige Skoda Rapid TDI Ambition.
One thing i would like to ask, that i liked in the top end variant was the chrome trim on the steering wheel.
I was searching an aftermarket chrome trim for rapid but hard luck...Couldn't find it anywhere.If u find it please let me know.?

The Ambition variant seems to be the pick of the lot,i had looked into buying this car(changed my mind though),
after a news paper & website also read(ZigWheels/Times of India) that VW Vento was introduced in a mid variant called "comfortline" with alloys & ABS etc i was in for a rude shock that what was reported was false & that comfortline has no ABS or airbags.

But Rapid Ambition variant has all the right equipment at a good price when compared to other variants & Vento & seems to be the best Buyers pick,just see to that the backup service is good & your in the clear.

Congrats for new Rapid.. About the chrome trim, I think you are referring to Chrome Lining on the steering wheel. For this even I searched in aftermarket and checked at dealership with no luck. They told me that it is not made available in market and might not come very soon. Even I wanted to put those chrome linings. Anyone from the forum got this done?

Its pretty interesting and you can Chrome any thing in the car. (AC vent surrounding, gear knob, Head unit surrounding, instrument cluster. I am waiting for getting my Rapid Ambition delivered coming week. Will definitely try my hand at making chrome trims for the steering.

Thanks hrman! Tried searching this item in ebay.in but could not find it. It was available only in US. Pls let us know if you can find it somewhere in India or someone who can ship it in India. Also if you have already ordered it then do update on the other details like cost etc.

First of all this tape doesn't bend much and the chrome on the Rapid's steering wheel is in a shape of "U". So this would not work. Or you can give it a try.

Secondly, i do not have the exact width of the tape to be ordered. There are plenty available from 5mm to 17mm.

Have to look for some alternative.
Anyways anyone knows where to buy Skoda Wheel nut caps(Plastic ones) from india, which are there in the lauras and the superbs. Again the width of the bolt?

Not sure of this. However, I have ordered some skoda wheel emblem stickers, since the Ambition does not come with any stickers on the wheels. You can check that site if its available. Focalprice is another site where some accessories are available with free international shipping.

My Skoda dealer in bangalore said I cannot avail extended warranty since I have not opted for insurance from them. Can you check with the Mumbai dealer if he can give extended warranty for a rapid purchased from Bangalore?

The caps you are reffering too, i have already got them with the antares fitted.:)
Anyways does anybody know, in the Ambition variant does the car's MID show range?
Or is it just time, oat, gear shift indicator and service due.
