Very true, aasuzu needs to realize indian conditions! See below Isuzu recommended intervals:-
Fuel filter replacement when light comes on would practically mean starving engine of good fuel and straining the fuel pump to maintain the same common rail pressures. So much for preventive scheduled maintenance [lol]

Hi Guys, I retrofitted Cruise control in my truck. The installation was smooth otherwise just ensure ECM cable is connected properly when plugging it back, I spent hours to figure out that the connector was not in place.[frustration].other than this I had no challenge retrofitting. I just followed instructions provided by Iron Rock in the post #86[clap],
It is very easy to perform retrofitting kit, so have confidence and go ahead. Happy DIY !
Great to hear your success Vishwanath, glad the writeup helped. Please post on your experiences too with the cruise control and throttle controller, especially sport mode 3 and economy mode too.

Hi Iron Rock, I have just tested and ensured all the modes are working..for now I am using Economy mode which I can feel the truck moves slower initially and picks up speed slowly which is very good for city drive and I am hoping to improve the FE. I tried throttle controller which restricted the speed for the set speed ensuring I maintain the city speed limits and avoid tickets[:)]
I am yet to head to freeway to enjoy the convenience of cruise though I tried using it successfully within city limits in patches and switching to cruise and putting it back to normal mode or even throttle control is just a breeze.

For now I am exited to have the feature in the truck[glasses]....I will post more once I experience real benefit when I cruise on highway probably in a months time..till then I am exploring next possible retrofit for the truck...may be adding start button instead of existing key[:D]

Re: Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Ownership Review: Remapped 165BHP [11K Kms Crossed]

Not much to update, the Vcross has done over 12k kms in around 8 months!

FE hovers between 12-13kmpl on tankfuls.

Here is a recent shot, i finally got the time to place the number plate slight upwards so that winch operations are not messed with.

One issue which has been a bit niggling is the passenger seat rattle, the back side has a play in the horizontal bolt element, i am in discussion with isuzu and hoping for a fix shortly.

Hello Sir, Greetings !

Can you please share the Led bulb size for Low beam, High Beam and Fog lamp? I have read a lot of positive reviews regarding upgrades to Led bulbs and from the beam patterns as per your post, i believe its a worthy upgrade.
I have booked my IV-Cross two days ago and is due for delivery in second week of November. I wish to upgrade the lights on the very first day itself.

Regards
H11 is low beam
HB3 9005 is high beam
HB4 9006 is fog lights
5w5 Parking Lights

BA15S Indicator
BA15S Reverse
BAY15D Break lights

Hello Friends , need an advice. I am planning to buy Vcross but in a bit dilemma to buy now or postpone for next year jan/feb. JMD Pune is giving a good discount now and also there also a buzz of price hike in Jan'18. The JMD Pune team also says that there will be an upgraded version of Vcross coming in Feb'18 with 6 speed manual gearbox and few cosmetic changes. Kindly suggest.

Hi highwayman, Welcome to the forum firstly. December is a good time to buy given the discounts you can negotiate! Whom did you hear about the six speed gearbox at jmd - never heard anything on this from Isuzu - no chance for this to come in 2 months in my books.

Btw a development with the vehicle, sold the rear full box(just got bored of it [;)]), so back to the naked look.

IR, you did right by removing that box. This is the perfect look for this, maintain as it is

Good Decision Amit. As mentioned above, this look suits much better to the truck than the add-on box. I do hope you aren't planning a bull bar. Nice to see the V-Cross going great! Do share some pics of the off-roading you have done recently. Also, A Q, How do you feel about the driving of V-Cross Vs Tata Xenon?

Regards

Its a double edged sword, while i agree it looks good - the problem is you cant do any long trips with a open deck. You need something to secure the luggage.
Btw sir weekend of 30th are you in Hyd ?

Thanks Akash, but the same problem as highlighted above, so i might go with something else - havent made up my mind yet. Bullbar ? I am a solo offroader so hard to click but will do next time somehow.
I wouldnt even compare Xenon and Vcross or for that matter even a getaway with Vcross - this is a different league altogether.

The protruding iron/steel guard that often is used in SUV(s) & in other cars too.

OK. Wanted to know because even I want to venture into this pick up truck lifestyle since it seems to be very exciting. Haven't owned a pick up truck in my life but down the line I might think of buying one. As the service network for Isuzu is low in Noida so thought of asking about a Xenon from you bro.

Thanks Iron Rock. The JMD Isuzu Sales guy told me few days back about the 6 speed gearbox thing and also the price hike and yes you are right currently they are offering good discount. I am still trying to find if its true about Six speed gearbox. Also I must say now your Vcross is looking much better and meaner.

Try something like this and whenever you have luggage just cover it up with something and tie knots to this.

Yeah amit am available in Hyderabad in last week of December, hope you are coming here with the monster[:)]
