• An airbag moves up to 4500 mph within a second when triggered. A force of 200g is generated. They are designed to explode at an impact speed of 19 mph. The bag inflates within 40 milliseconds of a crash.

More about Airbags - First used in 1973 (I was born that year, though that is not part of the Trivia!)
An automatic deflation of the airbag starts taking place as soon as complete inflation is achieved, this is to absorb the impact of the face / body.

- The first Indian to own a car was Jamshedji Tata but the person to own a car in India was Forster of Crompton and Greaves.

- 160 cars can drive side by side on the Monumental Axis in Brazil, the world's widest road.

Victoria, in Australia was the first state worldwide to make seat belt wearing compulsory for drivers and front-seat passengers, in 1970!!

The first Indian built private car was made in 1946, by Hindustan Motors. The car was identical to the 10 HP Morris M. This was the forerunner of the Amby.

Found out that in the Czech language, Skoda literally means "Damage".
Well, given the spare part prices in India, I am hoping that it is not true!!
