Mahindra XUV700 prices hiked by up to Rs 64,000

Mahindra has increased the prices of the XUV700 SUV. This is the fourth price hike of the SUV, with Mahindra having previously increased the prices in September 2022.

While the base MX variants see no price rise, other variants have seen an increase in their prices. The XUV700’s base petrol AX3 variant now starts at Rs 15.89 lakh, with the SUV’s top-end diesel AX7 L now costing Rs 25.48 lakh.

Hyundai i20 prices hiked by up to Rs 21,500; variants rejigged

Prices for all i20 Turbo and N Line variants have been hiked uniformly by Rs 21,500 and Rs 16,500, respectively. The Magna and Sportz trims with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine see a price hike of Rs 11,500, while the Asta and Asta (O) trims have been hiked by Rs 16,600. Mahindra Scorpio Classic prices hiked by up to Rs 65,000

Following the price hike of the Scorpio N and the XUV700, Mahindra has also increased the prices of the Scorpio Classic. This is the first price hike for the SUV since its launch back in August last year. The Scorpio Classic is available only in two trims – S and S11 – with prices now starting from Rs 12.64 lakh, going up to Rs 16.14 lakh.

Toyota Innova Hycross prices hiked by up to Rs 75,000

The introductory prices of the Toyota Innova Hycross, which was launched with petrol and petrol-hybrid powertrains, have got a price hike of up to Rs 75,000. Along with hiking the prices of Innova Hycross across the range, Toyota has also introduced a new mid-spec variant of the MPV.

All the petrol-powered variants of the Toyota Innova Hycross, including G and GX, have received a price hike of Rs 25,000. However, the prices of variants with petrol-hybrid powertrains, including VX, ZX and ZX(O), have been upped by Rs 75,000. With these price hikes, the Toyota Innova Hycross now starts at Rs 18.55 lakh and goes up to Rs 29.72 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Mahindra Thar 4X2 price increases by Rs 50,000

Mahindra has increased the prices of the LX diesel variant of the rear-wheel drive version of the Thar. Priced at Rs 11.49 lakh, the Mahindra Thar LX diesel rear-wheel drive version is now Rs 50,000 dearer than before, compared to the launch price of Rs 10.99 lakh.

Citroen has introduced a price hike on its C3 high-riding hatchback this month, making it the third price hike introduced by the French automaker since the C3’s launch in July 2022. Toyota has silently introduced a price hike ranging between Rs 5,000 – Rs 60,000 on half of its model line-up. These include the popular Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Innova Hycross as well as the Glanza and Camry, and could be on account of rising input costs. However, the Fortuner, Hilux, Vellfire and the recently re-introduced Innova Crysta remain unaffected by this price hike.

MG Hector prices hiked by up to Rs 61,000; new Shine trim launched

MG Motor India has increased the prices for the Hector SUV, with the price hike ranging between Rs 27,000 to Rs 61,000. Additionally, MG has reintroduced the Shine trim to the Hector line-up that sits just above the base Style trim, and is available with all existing powertrain options.

This is the first price hike for the Hector range since the launch of the facelifted model in January this year.

Tata Motors to hike prices of passenger vehicles from July 17

Tata Motors on Monday said it will hike prices of its passenger vehicles with effect from July 17. The company will increase prices of its passenger vehicles (including EVs) by an average of 0.6 per cent across models and variants, Tata Motors said in a statement.

The price increase is to offset the residual impact of past input costs, it added.

The auto major noted that it will offer price protection to bookings made up to July 16, 2023 and deliveries up to July 31, 2023.
