Read about component speakers. They have 2 pairs of speakers (1 pair midbass and 1 pair tweeters) and 1 pair of cross-overs to separate the high/low frequencies to the respective drivers.

Kindly lay down all your requirements first then. [:)]

Relax buddy, was busy with another thread. Also, avoid back to back posts, used EDIT option, or use PM for such personal messages.

2. Most of the time more than 2 people will be travelling in the car. so will the people sitting on rear seats would be able to hear the song...as in i would be having any speakers at the back.
3. RF comp model?
4. Alternate amp - jbl? reason : would be easily available. only if it is good enough

Try having a look at Pioneer 4490BT should be around 7-8K.

Add budget 6" co-axes from Pioneer/JBL for rears. Around 2K.

Both above have been answered by sankar.
The components from Rockford Fosgate freakdude was speaking about is

Rockford Fosgate Prime R16-S component speakers

PRIME Speakers - R16-S - Rockford Fosgate®

Are you looking for a JBL 2 channel amp or a 4 channel amp?

2 channel amp costs 4k - GT-X424 | 300-watt, two-channel car audio amplifier | JBL India

4 channel amp cost 7.5k - JBL : Support - GTX-646 - GT-X646

Sankar
Thanks buddy!! Yes, these were the ones I could suggest provided he has availability of JBL in his area. Else, Kenny 846 is a much superior amp.

Always ready to help. But i have heard these amps are made to a budget. As long as you don't try to power high end compos and subs these will work just fine. Am i right freakdude?

Yes, to an extent. A very decent component set has typically 80-100 RMS and this amp can easily handle it. Anything beyond that, this amp would not be able to feed that speaker with sufficient power. Same goes for subs when powered in bridged mode.

Comparing JBL GTX646 i would suggest going for Rockford Fosgate Prime 250.4 4 channel amp as it is a much better amp and i suppose it can handle component speakers with 200 RMS. am i right?

Yes, RF amp is way better than the JBL.

Bridge mode is when you combine 2 channels of an amp to create a single channel. For your setup power the fronts with 2 channels, bridge the other two channels and power the sub, the rears can play off the HU directly.

What i have learnt from my ICE research is that you first need to have a clear budget and your requirement first. NEVER EVER FALL TO THE TENDENCY OF EXTENDING THE BUDGET FOR ICE. I have fell for such temptation numerous times on seeing better products. I started with 20k budget for my ice with single din system, basic 4 channel amp, low power compos and 10in subwoofer. Now i finally stand at a budget of almost 90k[evil]

All because i am going for the best products and almost no compromise on quality.

Sankar
