Hi all,

Brio EMT doesn't come with the ICE setup and I need to do it ASAP as I don't enjoy driving too much without music [glasses]

Brio has a double din space & I want to fix speakers only on the four doors as Brio has limited boot space.

I mostly listen to Bollywood music and occasionally Punjabi/English.

Need a decent system but not too much loud.
Budge is around 15K.

Thinking of having 6" comp at front & coax at the rear doors.

Re: ICE for my Brio EMT

Get a single din pioneer / kenwood HU , and polk / hertz / helix / rockford speakers
withing your budget.
I will suggest adding 4 ch amp from JBLGTO/Kicker/Kenwood/hertz later on for better sound quality and longer life of speakers.

I did some more searching and thinking of getting JVC KB X-50BT HU which has bluetooth, usb, fm and don't have cd :).

For comp how is rockford (6-7K range) in comparison to JBL GTO 609C.

Which speakers will be best for the kind of music I listen?

for sound quality , go for polk /hertz / rockford.
for just loud music JBL 609c is good.

Get RF components in front and RF coaxes in the rear doors. For HU chose as per your requirements. You can have a look at JBL X555 also. wonderful VFM hu I would say.

Update:
Got JVC 50BT headunit which has bluetooth,mp3,fm and no cd. (6K)
Hertz component for front (6K)
Hearz coax for rear (3.2K)

Total was nearly 15.5K after installation.
Installation was done at car plus (https://www.carplus.in)

Quite satisfied with the sound quality of the system, but single din system in a double din space doesn't look good (limited budget :( )

Hi Naveen,

Congrats buddy for the pretty setup.
Can you show some light on the SQ part is it comparable to Kenny?
Installers in B'lore do not have the stock of JVC KDX40/50 nor recomend it.
Finally is the face detachable?

Hi BlueFish,

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't notice any email intimation of your reply. If someone doesn't have something they will definitely not recommend it, its obvious. No, face is not detachable, I found that after installation is done :(
But its cheapest of the Bluetooth models & No space for CD means no dust going in.

Hi all,

I have noticed that whenever I increase the volume to even 20 points (not too loud), rear view mirror starts shaking with the beats. :(

Does it happen withe everyone else?
How can I reduce it?

Hi Naveen,

Yes it happens and i assume that is due to the bass effect in the speakers. In case you plan to install a sub in your car, you will feel the vibration even more.
Thats normal.

Happy listening

It's quite normal buddy. With a sub these vibrations go so high that you can barely put RVM to any use [;)]

Since you do not have a sub so hanging a decorative to from the RVN would dampen out a few vibrations or make them resonate less. That's the nest you can do.

I had honda city before and had same problem. there was a lock behind the mirror. try to tight it if it's there in yours. if still vibrations present then it's problem with all honda cars.

If that's normal and sub will add to it that its a big "NO" for subs. :(

Can we reduce this vibration through some padding or change in installation?
