^^ OK , can you please post pictures of your boot area. I am surprised that tray provision is not there is Era version. Also post pictures of your doors.
I'm getting the delivery done this Sunday.

Btw, I'm planning to go for
Sony DSX A35U HU
and JBL CS5 for front speakers.

Still not decided on the rear ones, also the parcel tray thing.
@Anshuman I'll PM you regarding the vendor's contact.

@Prad easy drive
3k sounds too much for the permanent fitted tray.
Where did you get them fitted?

I'm getting my car from Trident near Cauvery theatre.

Saw an alto in my apartment today, the rear speakers were mounted on the rear hatch gate. Is that a viable option (for the EON)?

^^ It is viable option but sound quality might not be good. If you know that person, ask for a demo. Does Eon rear hatch has trim inside which can be cut to fit speakers or its plastic trim ?

Re: ICE For Eon ERA+ Under ~10k Budget

@anshuman that was a visitors car, not sure whom they came to meet, didn't get chance to talk to the owner :/

BTW, I was going through snapdeal and getting a 20%off deal for the ICE.
They are offering to do the fitment at home via Jeeves consumer Service.
Has anyone tried that out? Is it safe to go with them or will it be better to have it bought and installed at a decent Aftermarket accessory store?[confused]

^^ Go for the deal before it disappears. 7308 for the combination you have written is good price. Installation you can get it done from local shops. Not sure about snapdeal service. You may give it a try.

Thanks fellow TAI-gers for helping me out with the ICE selection.

I have ordered my setup from snapdeal
This is what I'm getting:
Sony - DSX A35 - USB Digital Media Player with LCD Display
Blaupunkt - GTx 542 DE - 5.4 Inch 2-Way Coaxial Speaker (180 W) [Pair of Speakers] (FRONT Speakers)
JBL - GTO 949 - 6 inch x 9 inch 3 Way Coaxial Speakers (400 W) [Pair Of Speakers] (REAR Speakers)

One last query anshuman, how much would it cost for antenna and installation along with the rear tray.

Congrats on your ride, please post some pictures.

Antenna should cost you around Rs 300/- and tray around Rs 500-1000/-.

Installation around Rs 1000/- to 1500/-

Figure are approximate but may vary from shop to shop.

Eons boot lid has some space but I am not sure if it can fit speakers since the space b/w plastic lid & metal looks narrow..

For FM , go for this kind of antenna since I am getting good FM range from them
Link

Once fitting is done , ensure all electrical & a/c is working fine since they unplug few wires & I did face such a issue later...

Congratulations for EON and double for ICEing it

You can get custom made MDF tray for Rs. 500
Most of the volume seller Installer have it but you may locate the source builder for cheaper price.
Don't pay more than 800/- or 1000/- (if rare)

Moreover it is recommended to get the 6x9s mounted on MDF tray only.
The output is phenomenal w.r.t. bass.

Surely you got a deal, make sure the Installer uses 1/2" or 3/4" wide MDF Ring on door cavity to mount the speaker.

Make sure you supervise the installation and do not compromise or Jugaad.
Do Fiddle with Fader, Balance Settings to check if all the work done is correct.

Thanks ADSA,
would the MDF ring interfere somehow with the Door trim or is there sufficient space for these. I really don't know as all I have seen is the exterior with the speaker grille on the door trim alongside map pockets.

The Eon door trim has space for 5 1/2" Speaker, if you directly mount the speaker on it, chances of speaker magnet fouling with glass are likely to be more, thus inducing rattles.
An MDF ring(preferred though it can be plastic ring too) is first mounted on door trim and then a speaker is mounted on it.
The Width of MDF ring will depend upon space between Speaker Grill(Exterior)
So I may be wrong with the sizes 1/2" or 3/4" wide rings because they are generally for 6 1/2" Speakers.
I am attaching pictures of i10's door with a ring(just for reference and ignore the Silver sheet)

I hope if it helps.
