it shows both real time as well as average consumption, what jerkin posted is the average consumption the next option on the mid is real time consumption, 7.9 on a diesel impossible!
bazooka maybe you got some bad fuel this time around try on the next fill up if it persist change pump if it still does give the oil a check. You have lots of city driving.

I told about the FE to service supervisor. And he said any malfunction in the engine means an error code must be shown. I don't find anything wrong because the FE is totally a different story on the high way. The low FE is mainly because of the excess traffic in Chennai due to metro rail construction activities.

jerwin you remember my story with fe? no error codes logged just bad oil.
isn't it strange that the verna is made more as a city car but the engine is tuned for highway? hyundai says 17km/l highway and 13km/l city. Also city driving is pretty taxing with stop and go traffic plus it also puts in more carbon in the engine and highway driving helps clear out the carbon, bazooka a good cheap decarb tip is to find an empty road drive the car near redline after its reached normal temperatures drive that way for 5-10 minutes, engine will feel more smooth and responsive that way. I wonder how clean my engine is then it spends 10% at the red line 30% mid range 60% normal 2800 revs gear shifts.

what is a good paste wax you guys tried ? Turtle or Meguiars NXT tech wax ?? . I spoke with Meguiar online support and they advice to use ultimate quick wax on top of paste wax and not directly ( no harm but less effective ).

My car is carbon grey and it looks dull without wax . I dont get a new car look.

Rightly said - Chennai traffic is horrible. Any car for that matter will give horrible fuel efficiency if we keep driving the car at or below 20 km/hr consistently for hours only between first and second gears.

Mine is petrol and my MID shows 7km/l during weekdays peak traffic. Weekends FE is right up at 11km/l and highways is around 17km/l.

naran I've got a carbon grey and i use formula1 paste wax cheap and gives a gloss but lasts less, i also use eagle1 nano wax liquid gives lesser gloss then paste wax but lasts longer then the paste, have ordered meguiars quick wax spray, and going to be ordering 3m show car paste wax this week. But no matter how much you wax, the car will shine and look like glass but not the way it will on a black car.

Paste Wax well Meguiars is good, But as nick said only on a dark color will they look the best. Having said that paste wax is also a pain! I currently use only quick wax and the results are very good. Will look into Paste wax and stuff later on as the car is still new.

my stupid meguiars spray wax is playing passing the parcel at the courier guys was tracking it last morning was in suburbs of bombay at noon it was near my place and evening dispatched back to suburbs.

Nick which one ru going for is it the Ultimate Quick Wax / NXT Spray Wax/ Just Quick Wax?
