well since its on the bottom no one will ever notice unless they are some sort of a detective. try using the rubbing compound and see if it changes anything, or else you get paint touch up kits on amazon, however it makes it look messy as the surface won't be leveled. If you go to a paint shop he may tell you to paint the whole bumper to match the paint.

i was at the petrol pump for a fill up on sunday there was this guy giving a demo on scratch remover and preventer product, he sprays this type of foam on the paint and tells me to scratch with my nails could not but it was rough and not glossy, dad then showed him a scratch made by a key in the building, he says sir this won't go use nail polish of same color and apply this, then showed him some swirls he sprayed there but it did not go, then he shows tire spray and says sir your tire is not shiny if you spray this it will be so shiny, he did shine wasn't much noticeable as i applied tire shine a few days back, i then poured water and there was no water beading on that area, and i said enough mate i don't want to buy it. a pack of 3 cans including tire spray, paint protection and dash board spray for 650. i would have brought it if it would have impressed me a bit more.

Was wondering is it worth trying to get a high grit sand paper and try getting a DIY paint job done? Or is it better to have it done at a later stage?

looks like this wud need a high grit paper, then a paste compound and a gloss paint. Seems cheaper to get it done by outside actually.

Nick in all of this forgot to check did u get the endurance spray? infact i got a call tday form teh site asking if i got the product and was it satisfactory i was like cheez :)

its cheaper and saves you the trouble and also the risk of ruining stuff.
maybe we can practice doing these things first on a hidden corner and perfect ourselves from that.

do check around, i know how you feel bout the patches, I've grown used to it now. they should charge 1500-2000 for painting the bumper against hyundais 4500 for doing the whole bumper
or else you can have them touch up that area by spray and polish the bumper under 800 bucks.
