10k is very costly. Ask them what all work they will do in 10k and do ask them about warranty as well.

No warranty, it's a take it or leave it situation. They say it may be a bit lower, but expect a bill in that range.

As I said, with the proper Hyundai ASS cheating me twice I am reluctant to waste money again.

Popular Hyundai Trivandrum is the worst place to service Hyundai, so is their Maruti. Find better AC mechanics in town and get it worked there than giving to these morons, might work out for a fraction.

Hi friends,

Just a quick update, I took my ac to be fixed today. Yes I know it is almost a year later, but we had a lot of lockdowns and containment areas and I didn't want to risk being without my car. Another thing is this workshop is in an area which got flooded in both the previous two Kerala floods so I didn't want to risk flood damage.

As I suspected they would not let me watch the repair.

The final bill was Rs7800

Cooling coil Rs 3200
Condenser filter Rs 600
Gas filling Rs 1500
Labour Charge Rs 2500

I asked for a discount, they reduced the bill by Rs200, better than nothing, but nothing special. No official bill just a note on a piece of white paper.

Since I last posted I have only driven 750km.

Anyway thanks for all the advice, much appreciated.

PS I couldn't find my old bill which someone had requested.

A place called Bluestar AC in Thrissur. He is an independent ac place. He has mixed reviews on Google.

It was recommended by my wife's cousin who has used him in many occasions.
