Hello RicksonPhilip. For me also dealer gave me a quote much more than what market is charging. Please try out ICICI LOMBARD OR BAJAJA ALLIANZ online you will get a better deal.No way dealer can force you to take Hyundai Insurance.I did the same thing.
Which insurance did you go for? and how much did it cost you?

Are there any advantages of taking insurance with Hyundai compared to ICICI Lombard and Bajaj Allianz?

@parth1231 - do you regret buying the petrol ? do you recommend it to others when compared to the diesel?

my daily run comes upto around 45 kms on usually free flowing traffic since i travel at off peak hours. Maybe an ocassional highway ride in a month and some rides to hometown(1000 kms both ways). What would you suggest?[confused]

I went for ICICI Lombard and it costed me 16200 Zero dep
It included passenger coverage 2L and Driver coverage 2L
Cashless facility across all ASC and List of Services for Road side assistance: Arrangement of keys,Breakdown support over phone,Minor on spot Repairs,Flat Tyre support,Arrangement of Accommodation,Message Relay,Battery jump start,Towing on breakdown/accident,Arrangement of rental
vehicle,Arrangement/Supply of fuel

I dont see any advantages going with Hyundai Insurance

Experts can take this question better but to my knowledge NO advantage.

Rickson Philip - Last time I checked, this was dealer getting into a tie up with ICICI Lombard/Bajaj allianz etc insurer and hence has his margin added. The dealer guys told its a "peace of mind" thing - that they will pursue recovery of insurance claim on my behalf with the insurer as they have already a business relationship and I can get the car asap after paying my portion and not wait till the insurance guys have paid up. I took that as was buying the car for my wife. Experts - Please let me know if the sales guy was just faffing here...........

Anyways, congrats for the new booking, did you get any discounts ? Freebies ? from the dealer. Try for that if youre buying insurance from dealer

The dealer where i have booked my car(Grand I10 Asta(O) Petrol MT) is Trident Hyundai, Hosur Road, Bangalore.

They are quoting 20679 for insurance and 2347 for 0% depreciation additionally, they say its Hyundai's insurance.

Is it good to go with the Hyundai insurance or to shop in market directly ?

I got ICICI for similar price range. But Hyundai Insurance ? Never heard about that.

Reason: Previous experience, Hassle free process for claiming.

Hi, As mentioned in my first post I chose petrol to go for Top end model instead of a basic diesel model in same money.
Now my daily run is 30Kms on weekdays and Occasional drives on weekends.
SO it was also a calculated decision for me to go for petrol. And I am not regretting the car for anything but Battery issue.

Is it on Tar road? Is it a contineous noise?
It sometimes also happen due to bigger stone in the tyre.

My Grand I1o Asta(O) P Twilight blue has arrived @ the dealer stockyard[:)] waiting for sbi car loan to get processed. SC told that he would arrange for a PDI on Friday. Any things particular you guys would recommend watching out for during the PDI?

Re: My Hyundai Grand i10 Asta (O) Petrol Ownership Review

So I happened to test the performance of the AC of my beloved grand i10 yesterday in a 40 degree 'not so high temperature for Hyderabad' for a drive of 20 kilometers. Let me say I am disappointed to my core [cry].

AC performance was one of the worst I had ever experienced as it simply refused to cool down the cabin at level 1 and 2. I got frustrated and put it at level 3 and only then I could get some relief. God only knows what will happen in mid may and june. One more thing the pickup of the vehicle falls sharply while AC is ON and I had to frequently switched to lower gears, however that was manageable. While coming back my friend noticed that I had put the air circulation from outside to inside ( dont know what u call it). I switched to within cabin and then AC was more effective but of course not adequate. What is the use of giving those rear AC vents when even the front passengers are not comfortable.

So it's true. Grand i10's AC is not that effective. in my santro I use blower at second which is sufficient.

While TD'ng the car, there was another executive sitting at the rear seats and 3-4 times I saw him adjusting his tie out of discomfort. When I enquired if the cooling was nit enough he gave me some vague reply.

Anyways, go to the service center and ask them to check the ac. And i'm sure they'll say it's normal (because till now they must have got many complaints) make sure they top up the ac gas.

Make sure the car starts and battery is ok as the vehicle must have been Idle for sometime.
As yo9u can read there are lot of complaints about the AC performance, you have time to take a decision @ that.

Well man that is disappointing. With those rear AC vents one would expect strong AC but this is sheer diappointment[frustration]. Looks like Hyundai has played it cheap and smart with indian customers. Worse part is they are not acknowledging the issues. I feel like saluting Chevy for their business moral shown in case of SAIL issues.

You can compare the policy on polizy bazar and negotiate with dealer.

At 1000km per month usuage, you are on border line. May be you can expect a price cut on petrol after electeions.
though i would suggest you only diesel, since hyundai petrols are not known for their milage.

Is it your car has wheel caps which tied with rim.then check out the edge of the tie, which may be touching the disc brake assembly

Now pray for the day, when Hyundai may be come with a AC compresser replacement.

Yeah it come on tar roads and is continuous after 40kmph. Did check the tyres but didn't find any big stone stuck that could cause such an issue.
