Finally we have having better temperatures. +15 C. In the middle of the Atlantic. But gale force winds. So the wweather is bad. we'll be having a Rocking & Rolling New Year on board.

allhyundaicras: it was a clear sky with a layer of hard ice on roads at some points. Was a bit risky for early drive but enjoyed it. Believe me it was too cold out there. [;)] But while entering in Punjab there was a lot of fog around with very less visibility. But at last i am back. Right now also outside all i can see is only FOG!!! [anger]

i so badly wanted to come to shimla last month just to visit the place in this weather. i know it's really hard for people living in shimla but for us it'll be fun [lol] [:D]

If you don't mind one query. How do common people cope with this cold weather at home in places like shimla? Is there any heating system in place?

lol, even now its not too late to visit as within 15-20 days snowfall can takes place and trust me at that time you will surely enjoy your trip as Shimla is not that much far from Delhi and is 8-9 hours away from Shimla by car.

Friend, its in our blood IMO, like we can not bear high temp or warm weather much and 30 degrees is also like hell for us, in winters Heaters & Bonfire are our lifeline. As for private transport, Maruti800, Maruti Alto are major no. of cars driven in Shimla. You would not believe only few ones uses the Heater or Blower in Cars while traveling. And according to roads and their pathetic condition Maruti 800 is our SUV. [drive]

I went there on 25th January last year. And now the highway is quite good too(my dad visits every 2 months, he told me its much better now). We left at 7AM and reached at 3PM. All the scenery was awesome! Many drivers were rude though(No offence to people from Shimla). Must go there in this season.

Speaking of weather, Delhi govt. extended school vacations till 12th. I had till 13th already. :X
