Hello Friends,
Recently I brought Presta to schrader Adapter for use with this inflator. This allows me to inflate bicycle tyres with this pump.
There are a few types of valves as below-
Schrader valves- Regular Indian car valves
Presta Valves- American Bicycle valves
Woods Valve- The outdated Indian Bicycle valve. Also called a dunlop valve.
Unfortunately, Indian bicycle industry is stuck on British era Woods (Dunlop valves). Now these woods valves have closely same threading and diameter as presta valves which gave me the Idea to use this adapter. And surely, the adapter does fit but its a little loose on the bicycle end. Hence I used teflon tape to prevent air leaks and get a secure fit on the bicycle woods valve.
The woods valve itself has an air resistance of 7 to 11 PSI, so Its wise to overinflate by that much. Today morning I filled my bicycle tyres to 58 PSI (Recommended range 45 to 63 PSI) using windek inflator and it feels good. I will report back after a ride.
Wow never knew the names of these valves, thank you for sharing!
What bicycle do you ride by the way? Please share pics of your cycle valve too. Luckily my 'BTwin My Bike' has the same valves as cars/bikes . When set to 45 PSI I feel the ride to be quite rough. So I end up inflating to a lower PSI for comfort as I use it only for short commutes less than ~15 minutes.

Even I did'nt know em!. A good 2 sunday evenings for research and I had all the names. I always only knew em as car valves and Bicycle valves. . I have a heavy build so I use little higher pressures.
I am in the process of restoring and Painting my bike. Will share pics when I get home.
Looks cool product. How effective these would be in SUV's like Ford Endeavor (18 inch wheels). Also any recommendation for a hydraulic jack for the same?
So I quickly opened it up to check the innards, and here is what I found-
The gear mount has broken from a critical location.
But what's worse is metal shavings. It might be possible that even if I superglue the Gear mount, Gears itself might have sustained damage already.
Looking at your listings, I don't think vacuum + inflator is a good choice for below reasons:
- Chart image on amazon says its not suitable for big SUVs
- Its relatively bulky to always carry around in trunk
- Vacuum power is not mentioned anywhere, I doubt it will have good suction like Bergmann Hurricane and the likes with 100W motors.
Hello there,
Thanks for the fine observation. The chart itself is very confusing and has conflicting specs.
Basically, It mentions only metal type inflators are OK for SUV tyres. So even the regular digital model is marked as not suitable.
Dedicated model is rated till 80PSI but 2 in 1 model is rated for 110 PSI.
This could be printing mistake or 2 in 1 model uses heavier motor so that vacuum duty can be integrated in it. Now the website description mentions 2 in 1 model as 80PSI which could mean it has the same machinery as dedicated model and seperate motor for vaccum.
Prices of both are same. I have sent them a help mail, lets see what they reply.
Guys. Today I roamed around to try and get the broken gear mount welded.
I visited various welding Wallas I could find. (One who Makes steel furniture, Regular Iron Metal welding, Gas welding etc). After visiting 5 shops everyone denied to fix the part. Some said that the part is too small and will melt. Some said that the part is Aluminum alloy and welding will not hold.
