I always thought Brio would attract enough customers if priced sensibly. Main worry for Honda would be to cash in on initial attraction by sorting out supply constraint. Jazz is yet to breach 600 mark due to lack of supply. Waiting period at many place is over 3 months. So rather than getting complacent about huge booking nos., Honda India should pull up the socks and ensure atleast 5000 per month delivery for Brio & 1000 per month delivery of Jazz.
If a company does not cash in on initial charm, then it is difficult to regain lost ground later (if you are not MSIL). Look at Nano & Etios for example. Both these cars demand huge waiting period initially. But customer gets fed up after some time and looks for other options. After 3-4 months, if aam janata do not see enough models on road then they tend to go for safe & established options.
