- The company has indicated that multiple products sharing the same underpinnings will be manufactured at this plant. This facility will also become an export hub for its products.
- Honda is envisioning further growth in the demand for its motorbikes in the “Global South” region that comprises of countries like India, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, and South American markets.
- Furthermore, Honda is anticipating 20.2 million units of global sales in FY25, out of which 85% (17.17 million units) are expected to be derived from India, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
- Globally, it will have 30 EVs in its portfolio by 2030 (out of which 13 are already on sale) with upto four million annual sales. Honda is aiming to acquire 50% global two-wheeler market share by end of this decade.
