Honda Cars India has introduced two new variants of the Elevate SUV — the Black Edition and Signature Black Edition. Both variants are built on the premium ZX trim and are available with either manual or CVT automatic transmissions. The Black Edition is priced from Rs 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and features a new Crystal Black Pearl colour.
As the name suggests, the new Elevate variant is predominately black, but the Black Edition also gets contrasting silver finish inserts to give it a premium look. The Elevate Black Edition gets 17-inch dark-coloured alloy wheels and nuts. It gets chrome ascents on the upper grille and silver finish front and rear skid garnishes, lower door garnish and roof rails. The Elevate Black edition comes with a special ‘Black Edition’ badge on the rear.
The more premium Elevate Signature Black Edition’s components are completely dark with front fascia, roof rails, front and rear bumpers and skid plates and the Signature Edition emblem on the front fender. Like the Black Edition, this variant also gets 17-inch glossy black alloy wheels.
The Elevate Black Edition and the Signature Black Edition cabin is all-black in theme and feature black leatherette seats with black stitching, black door pads and armrests wrapped in PVC and an all-black dashboard. The Signature Black Edition, on the other hand, comes exclusively with rhythmic 7-colour ambient lighting.
The two new Elevate special editions are powered by the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with an output of 119 bhp at 6600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4300 rpm. It is available in two transmissions — a 6-speed manual and a CVT. According to Honda, the manual returns 15.31 kmpl and 16.92 kmpl for the CVT.
