Guys this is the 2nd avatar of the rust monster. I got the car in end 2006, and after 2-3 yrs itself the rust started appearing, and in 2010 I got the entire thing redone and repainted. The big driverside ORVM one appeared after few months itself, and rest started appearing as time passed. The dealer did not prove helpful when it appeared the first time, and now after 6 yrs and with one repaint job already done, I doubt Honda will show much interest either. The way I look at it is that now I have to spend 30-35k every 2-3 yrs and enjoy a new color, until the time I decide to sell the car.

its was just the suggestion to you and rest is your personal preference.Last time i was there to service my car just to have an experience with the place and i m satisfied with their work.
Of course your comments are suggestions, and rest is personal preference of the reader, there is no merit in posting that emotion so much into words as it is well understood by all concerned. On a related note, I have simply narrated my experience with the recommended garage, which is not to be taken as a condemnation of your thoughtful advice, but rather as a blow by blow account of my personal experience devoid of any pre-judgement.

@disperspective - Seen the pictures and its in a really bad state, but not totally irrecoverable.
Better would have been if you could change the doors, but since its over 6 years old, cant suggest that either.

Advice do it from a workshop that takes time to understand the problem. I dont think that HASS even inspected and came back saying sheet metal would be required (as you mentioned TVS has done). Point is that none will provide warranty, however with proper treatment and paint job, it is quite possible to resist rust for a quite longer time than 3 years.
I suggest you enquire with a few other workshops. There are a few on Topsia road and some in the south. Take it to Eastern Honda and find out what they have to say.
All I can suggest is try more options before putting in another Rs.40K. Whether it would be worthwhile you would know within a month or two.

Guys here's an update - it has been more than 12 days since I gave the car to the garage, so today I decided to visit and check the progress. Even the floor has rusted!!in the front, down by the driver and front passengers foot space - there was a gaping hole on both sides, thanks to some hammer work by the mechanic. It was a horrible sight. I'll probably now have to pay more than what the estimate was, but atleast the work will be done thoroughly since this has been caught. By the way, I have picked Bluish Silver Metallic (6th version - 2010) as the new color.

So the repair work/painting being done by HASS?

HASS don't play dat. As in, they don't believe in repairing rust damage. They will simply replace the rusted body parts with a brand new panel, and charge extra for painting. This doesn't make sense to me due to the high costs involved.

So as mentioned somewhere previously in his thread, I am getting it done through a reliable independent garage whom I have used couple times in the past for full body work and fresh repaint.

Please post some pic's of the rusted floor. One suggestion after getting new metal, coat them with 3M under seal it will help in preventing rust.

I have used it, please check the below thread.

Thanks Varun. Actually I have done 3M underbody anti-rust coating in my car, almost 3 years ago at the Honda A.S.S. It came with 3 years warranty, i.e. they gave me a warranty card, and allowed 6 checkups during next 3 years and retouching is also included. Since 3 years is not yet complete, I plan to take it to them immediately after the repaint job is done, for a touch-up. Do you think that would suffice? Or is there any other treatment I should go for?

Getting the car back in a couple of hours. Will be posting "after" pics soon, to contrast with the "before" pics posted earlier. **fingers crossed**

Great, waiting for the end result.

Please post the pic's..
Here's the anticlimax - the car did arrive today as promised, but there were couple of issues so I sent it back for finishing, and it should be back tomorrow. First impressions were good - the colour has really suited and overall the guy has done a great job considering he doesn't have a heat chamber.
