Previously I was using Philips Xtreme vision H4, same wattage as stock bulb so direct replacement without any extra relay or wire cut. I was satisfied with light it was producing on highway and in City area. Both the bulbs were gone kaput after ~1.5 years. So this time I had bought Philips Xtreme vision+ (plus). I have not find much difference within city area than the previous regular xtreme vision. However I have not yet tried these bulbs on highway. I also don't like white light so for me it is more than enough. [clap]

Arjeet, It appears you have fallen into trap as all other First Timers for HID- That is getting a 6000k or 8000k HID kit. Please check links a few posts above.

You should go for proper 4300K HID and good quality projectors.

Arijeet I understand what you are saying. You had got projectors and HIDs in your City, right? Generally, high beam output of projectors is not great (or comparable to reflectors in case of throw and visibility range) and they are more suited to low-beam driving. I guess that you are not having problem with the light colour but with its reach/throw/beam. For this, anything which you fit inside the projector will give the same throw and pattern (the intensity or output may vary). So, projectors are of no use in your case.

100/90w bulb upgrade would be the perfect solution for you. Get ceramic holders (since you do long night drives) and additional wiring kit along with good quality bulbs and you will be amazed with their intensity on highways. If you can find 3000K (or close) HID bulbs, then you can plug them in your projector assembly and see, but I don't think it will make any visibility improvement (as throw and pattern remains the same).

yes . i am looking for the bulb . not HID . which will be perfect for that means company name and model name ?

please don't mind i am not automobile expert :D .
i just said what i feel in user level experience . but really the milky white beam can not differ the diver side view , when some other vehicle coming opposite site on opposite lane . but if you compare with new IDTEC or IVTEC 2015. they recovered the issue . but they using 2 bulbs in headlight .

so, for me 2010 ivtec . only option to use high powered bulbs. not HID .not the milky white beam .

Phillips, Osram, GE Automotive are some good brands for 100/90 bulbs. Ensure that you get a genuine kit as there are a lot of fakes.

Do you still have the projector assemvbly with you? You can try a 4300K or lower HID if you were satisfied with throw/reach of light but not with colour/visibility. Good brands are Osram, Phillips, P8. Cost would be around 10k.

Dear BHVM,

Could you please suggest some LED or HID upgrade for 2017 Honda City VMT model? This one does not come with a FF LED Headlight kit. It does not have a projector type headlight. So was wondering if HID would be a good idea.

Use osram 100/90w made in Germany and replace headlamp assembly to new one. And you'll get desired light.

hid is never a good idea without decent projector. BTW what spec are your headlights? a photo and reference from user manual may help.

I recommend Philips Racing Vision H4 lamps 60/55W. Meets all your requirements.

And it is easy to replace yourself. Please note these bulbs are not available in India; so I bought them from powerbulbs UK. They serve the purpose wonderfully.

If you need something available in India you can go for Philips Xtreme Vision Plus. Still compare the prices with powerbulbs UK as at some point I found it was cheaper there with discount coupons. Additionally, they would be European make.
