I think the Amaze vs. Dzire battle is pretty much done, I saw this video by AutoCar India and the result was unanimously in favour of the Amaze. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVpJF-QwRHUIt's the Amaze vs. SAIL fight that we need to look at now. But then again, who takes Chevrolet seriously nowadays? Except the Cruze of course :)

Yes it's the Amaze. the exterior designs is biggest plus point which is the only big drawback in Dzire when the interiors of Amaze and Dzire are compared. Dzire seems a class above. Also Dzire looks bigger and rugged as compared to Amaze. Things that may matter for Indian buyer.

I agree with you, and i think dezire also give a rich car feeling due to its bulkiness that is batter than amaze.
Dzire with that Swift look in front spoils the party for me and always look like a extended boot for Swift.
On other hand though Amaze is built on Brio platform looks more like a sedan and also it looks more aerodynamic design than Dzire. As shown in the video Amaze has more powerful engine and revs linear and has more space and legroom inside and also looks bit roomy than Dzire which looks bit claustrophobic to me
As the same Fiat engine works in Dzire it looks bit lagging or not able to respond in slow speeds until rpm touch 2000.

All the modern Cars including AMAZe have benchmarked themselves to swift and Dzire so they had something to match or surpass still Amaze is not the clear winner

@Parth I agree with you about Dzire and yes Amaze still have to time to prove it as a winner and with that I never try to lessen the effort of MS guys making the Dzire which was first of its kind in the market and proved as a VFM car already.

It was not actually if i am not mistaken but swift was the concept model of suzuki.
Dzire looks better from all angles except from side than Amaze. The width of Amaze is also less. And the front & rear looks of Dzire beats Amaze hands down. What also matters are interiors as that is the place where buyer will be. If interiors are not good, whats the use even if looks from side are better ? Not for forget the spares & servicing of Maruti which is cheaper & widely available. And most amaze buyers must be prospective city buyers too.
The only car which can compete with Dzire is when Hyundai launches notchback version of i20, but it is atleast 1.5 yrs away.
