I'v No Claim Bonus (NCB) as well. The quotation states 25% NCB.

3rd Party amount and zero depreciation cover amount is higher than last time.

The answer for both is Government increased former, while later increases as the car gets old, upto 5years (the period to which zero depreciation can be added to insurance).

Anyhow, need to check with Bajaj Allianz direct (without Honda Assure), and from Honda dealer (with Honda Assure).

Will keep all posted once i get details.

^^BAB: I have done insurance of my brio in march and it was third year. IDV of my car is 312K and I paid some 9K for zero dep honda assure. Gross premium mentioned in my policy is 9.9K.
After paying 14K for the first year, I went for ICICI lombard for second year and gave some 10K when honda was asking for 12K.

^^NKV: You got 900rs waved off? That is great. Which dealership did you go to? Any freebies offered?

Checked with Whitefield Honda (telephonic). The zero depreciation premium stand at Rs11900/- odd for IDV of 351400/-. No freebies or discounts being offered. [anger]

In my view, Honda Assure doesn't provide any significant benefits over others. I got my 2nd year insurance done from Future Generali and for a IDV of 4Lacs i got a premium of around 10.5K for zero-dep as the Honda Assure ones were costing me around 12.5K. I made a claim last week and i took my vehicle to one of the Cashless garages and the experience was pretty good as the workshop guys took care of everything with the insurance company and i just had to intervene for some charges which i had to bear. I am expecting to get the vehicle back by next weekend but so far the experience has been good.
