Honda has introduced the Activa e electric scooter in India. Its prices will be revealed at a later date. But Honda has said bookings will open in January 2025, with deliveries expected to commence from February onwards. The Honda Activa e features a design inspired by the petrol-powered Activa. It has all-LED lighting and 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Two variants will be available: Activa e and Activa e: Honda RoadSync Duo.
In terms of features, the new Activa e will have a 7-inch TFT screen. Honda has equipped this display with its RoadSync Duo app. The digital instrument cluster supports navigation with day and night modes. It can be toggled using controls on the handlebar. The Activa e comes with a Honda H-Smart Key with features such as Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock and Smart Start.
Honda has equipped the Activa e with swappable batteries. It comes with two 1.5 kWh packs that offer a combined range of 102 km. Honda is setting up its 'Power Pack Exchanger' battery swapping stations across various cities to provide a seamless ownership experience to Activa e owners. These stations are already operational in Bangalore and Delhi.
Honda Activa e's electric motor delivers a peak power of 6 kW (8.04 hp) and a peak torque of 22 Nm. Honda claims a 0 to 60 km/h sprint in 7.3 seconds, with an 80 km/h top speed. The Activa e will have three riding modes: Econ, Standard, and Sport. Five colour options will be available: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
