Government To Impose Speed Governors On Commercial Vehicles in India

I read in a local newspaper today that Government is seriously thinking of imposing automatic speed limit for all vehicles (cars,buses etc ) in India from March 2014.The article says whatever the cost of vehicle may be the speed limit would be 80Kmph.
Is it true? Even if they bring a Law is it possible to implement strictly in our beauracracy? Does any one know the details? please share.

The news is about fixing speed governors on all vehicles manufactured after march 2014.This was posted in a telugu news paper called Eenadu.The link is given below,though I couldn't find any related news in English news papers.

Even I gone through it googled to find it some where else "I hadn't found".
Going by above article if it is true it's really bad, my personal opinion is better to limit speed based on size.
Bus & trucks 80
Cars 100 etc.

Really 80 for all vehicles is ridiculous, if set complete Indian auto scenario will change.

Dont worry dear ones.
Speed governors are for the commercial vehicles and mainly for buses.
In state like Kerala this had been in effect for quite some time.

As so many buses are involved in accidents now a days ,all state government RTAs want it installed .

typical indian mind set. instead of building better roads for faster safer travel we are being ( if its true ) made to go backwards when the whole world wants to go faster

Seems very difficult as Karnataka is still struggling to put speed governor in private inter state buses. Instead of improving policing and punishing guilty, why Govt. want to hold bridle of everyone. Moreover in Hyderabad Nehru ORR speed limit is 120KMPH [;)] , it also needs to be decreased.

Well govt should not be investing in high end electronic speed governer. Rather they can do what they are best at. Not maintaining the roads at all. Automatically the speed would reduce.

New TC Mr Rishiraj singh Rocks back here at Kerala[clap]

The speed governors are back to function on all heavy vehicles.
Helmets on all heads
Seat belts engaged
Speeding and racing punished with cancellation off RC
Drunk and drive caught and punished at every junction
Speed limit at highways strict to 79kmph and in city 35 kmph (No express highway back here)
The re-test on old vehicle double strict
The licence issue non corrupt
RT office less corrupt
All MVI's and AMV's seen on road for checking
Even The Mobile Court van ceased for non payment of tax and insurance and pending re-test

Guys the Real super star back here is this guy
Mr Rishiraj singh IPS.
40% of the accidents decreased back here in 1 year
