Lamborghini is working on a Ferrari 458 Italia-fighting successor to the Gallardo model and the new name for the car is said to be 'Cabrera'. Okay, we've heard that bit of news before but, according to French car magazine L'Automobile, this new goat herder (that's what 'Cabrera' means in Spanish and Catalan) will be sporting a supercharged V10 engine with around 600 PS (441 kW / 592 bhp). That would be about 30 horses more than on the outgoing Gallardo Superleggera which has an output of 570 PS (419 kW / 562 bhp) on its 5.2 liter V10. And that supercharger provides a lot of opportunities for tuners to take it upon themselves to dial the noise up even more. The new Cabrera would also sport a new multi-sectional carbon fiber monocoque chassis as well as the usual assortment of lightweight carbon-fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) components to make this a very competitive supercar model. The Cabrera will also come as an all-wheel drive. source - Gallardo-replacement Cabrera to sport 600 HP supercharged V10
