Safety feature - i can think of one! "automatic fire extinguisher" in vehicles (not sure if it exists already).

in car, this can prevent fire especially in engine bay and cabin
in buses/train, this can mitigate fire accidents and reduce casualties
General Traffic Department (GTD) of Kuwait enforce this requirement. All vehicles must have fire extinguishers fitted according to engine capacity. The manufacturer itself is providing the fire extinguishers. It will be fitted either below passenger seat or under rear cargo area. These are manual fire extinguishers, and must upgrade the validity every year. I have not reached any automatic fire extinguishers. Fire could ignite from any side, hence it is cumbersome to fit at the right place.

that's great. i suppose lot of people even from TAI would have a manual kit. the point of automatic is especially in an accident victims will be in a shock and reaction time would be hindered. there should be optimal injection points, very similar to water sprinklers. Sensors in the specific area can be activated which will reduce the intensity at the initial stage itself. just a thought!

think of similar system in volvos/trains in India and you can prevent precious lives being lost due to fire!

it's a shame many of these features present in Japan version are not coming to India!. I mean... why??

other major safety feature is speed breakers detection. I badly went over one an hour ago. ouch!

1.Do well really need a on/off control for airbags in our rides?
Yes, since if there is no occupant in front captain seat then the airbags gets deployed and gets wasted during crash which you have to pay to fix them. But as like others said, could be switched On/Off based on sensors
2.How much would an automatic window be helpful in our country?
Cant get you, what you mean?. If you mean auto up/down then it is needed as I feel frustated to hold the button to roll up/down while crossing toll booths.
3.Would a touchscreen console be the future in automotive switch operations and would replace the manual switches?
It looks modern & grab eyeballs for sure provided easy and slick UI with high res screen. But, for some controls I feel better to be in manual (like switch controls in fighter Jet, you know what I mean[;)].
4.We all ride with our AC on and windows closed so how much would the window rolling up when the AC being switched on be useful?
I feel refreshing everytime while I travel with AC ON even if the outside temperature feels comfortable and also take into account pollution in our roads we travel , actually this is the main reason I roll up my window and use AC.
5.Do you want to enable a tracker in your car ?
Yes, since our current generation are occupied with more and more advanced mobile apps why not a tracker on the car and track them with our mobile.
6.Is there any safety feature/other electronic features that you would like to see in the Near future?
I feel there should be improvement in terms of active safety equipments. I would be really happy to see VOLVO's laser assisted city safety braking in 10 - 20L bracket cars. Add to that drowsiness detecting system and other PRE-SAFE systems are essential. Ofcourse luxury sedans should be equipped with autonomous driving in city traffic like in Global S-class model[:D].

I wish the govt of India makes ABS/Air bags mandatory in all cars. The current scenario in India is if you value your life, then go for high end cars that are equipped with the above said features. For the low end cars, all manufacturers are keen on adding more features at reduced cost but compromise on the safety aspect.

Detect Drowsiness via Steering Wheel Input?

Researchers from the Washington State University (or WSU) have developed and are testing a totally different approach that constantly checks the position and movement of the steering wheel.

The potential is there, but it’s still too early on to have a clear view on its utility. What is undeniably cool is that, once they iron out the bugs and deem it fit for use on public roads, it will then be easily installable on any car via an aftermarket kit, or straight from the factory if it will ever get that far.
