I get higher FE since we don't face bumper to bumper traffic in my city often and moreover at least 50% of my running in on highways which helps too. I believe the newer lot of Grand i10 especially the 2017 model are a little more fuel efficient than older Hyundai's.
That's superb FE, Kichu.
Getting a good Mileage on Kerala Highways is a task in itself. Apart from maybe the Wayalar- Thrissur stretch, rest of the Kerala highways is nothing more than a fast moving city traffic.
My work location is at ernakukam which is about 300kms from my home, Kannur district.
It's takes just 4.5 to 5.5 hours if I start my trip by 3am and gets close to 23kmpl.
Where as if I do the same stretch in the normal time, it take a minimum of 8 hrs and once it took 12hrs. It's a Herculean task.
The following trip was done in early May/2018 in the early morning(4AM-9AM)
Car: Baleno Petrol
Tyre pressure : 30 PSI
MID: 29.1 km/l
Load: Three Punjabi adults
Cruising speed : 70km/h (GPS)
Distance: 180km
Tarmac: 63% 4 four lane, 37% link road
Fuel Price: Rs 80
AC: usage: 0%
Heater usage: 5-7%
This trip followed a day after the 4th service. Covered 180km in just Rs 500 of Dino juice in a petrol car! Simply mind boggling! All thanks to my hypermiling technique, cause on the same stretch our driver is able to extract only 20kmpl which is still respectable!
hello peoples outhere, below i want to share the details of my 2008 tata sumo grande.

proud to own you tata sumo grande and will hold you for rest of my life.
I don't think running on high ac or no ac would effect the milage of any car as there is a best mechanism in the engine. Even if the AC is off the belt keeps on rotating the compressor shaft when we switch on the AC a notch connects the compressor to the shaft.
It might be possible that in older cars AC would effect the milage but in modern card I don't think so.
Usage 35 days and 720 kms. Normal city and highway usage.
AC usage less than 100 kms.
Low fuel indication started by 660 kms
It took 34.35 liters to cover 720 kms of distance.
So the fuel efficiency is approx 21kmpl.
When driven efficiently running cost is more like a diesel car.
Aprilia SR150-Did 341 Kms in 11 days and got an FE of 40.6 Kmpl when I filled the fuel of 2.78L in it.The odo was 226 Kms when I filled the tank and did 113 Kms on this fuel.
Total-113/2.78L=40.6 Kmpl.
I got 34 Kmpl on first fillup and after racking up many kms,I got the best FE of 40.6 Kmpl on a 150 scooter. My running was mostly on city roads only filled with potholes and traffic.Had rode till the petrol came to end just to check the FE of Aprilia.I got this FE even after doing 60-80 Kmph of speed.

Got 41.02 Kmpl today, which is the highest I ever got.Filled 0.78 L of Petrol(HP Power)which costed Rs.70 and actual cost of HP Power is Rs.90 and ran 32 Kms on that fuel and previously I got 39.16 Kmpl by filling 2.86 L of Petrol and ran 112 Kms on it.Otherwise,I get around 35-38 Kmpl as of now.
BTW,the odo is 2000 Kms and completed 3 months too.
